Nicole Kidman accidentally grabbed some major attention during the 89th Academy Awards for clapping the wrong way, at least that was how many were describing skills:

Some thought it was more animal like with Kidman's Oscar clap earning the nickname "the seal clap."
Kidman told Australia's KISS FM radio DJs Kyle and Jackie O the real reason for the odd clapping. According to Huffington Post UK, Kyle told their listeners:
