Legalize it

Have you ever heard the saying don’t judge a book by its cover? I believe this to be one of the truest quotes ever spoken because it signifies how un-open we as a society are to things that we are taught not to like. One book that has been judged by its cover for a while is the drug marijuana. Marijuana has been around for a long time and has gotten a bad reputation that seems to get worse every year. What I do not understand is the people who give marijuana a bad name are the people who have never tried it and only believe what they are told. The fact is marijuana can do more to help then it can to hurt. If legalized this “drug” can be used in the medical field; it can be used to bring in large revenue, also keep our streets clean from drug dealers and much more. People just need to open there mind to new ideas.
Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington all have one thing in common. These 17 states have currently legalized marijuana and it seems to be working to their advantage (medicalmarijuana.procon.org). It has been proven that medicinal cannabis can be used to help cancer patients with nausea, vomiting, and being able to eat more. It also helps with nerve damage, arthritis, or any other joint pain that people suffer from on a day to day basis (livestrong.com). So with all the good it can do, why is there so much negativity revolving around this plant? People like to argue that it is just a drug and being a drug it cannot help in any situation plain and simple, but the facts say otherwise. There is continuous research and tests that are currently being done to prove that marijuana may be the next big step in the medical field.
It is no secret that we are slowly falling into a depression. With job layoffs money is becoming

Nowadays, this issue, the same-sex marriage is viral in the whole world. But, what is same-sex marriage? It is defined as a union between two people who are of the same gender or biological sex. Since 2001, ten nations and other jurisdictions have made this type of union legal. Whether or not to recognize such marriages remains a source of debate as far as civil rights, political and social issues go. Introduction of same-sex marriage laws has varied by jurisdiction, being variously accomplished through legislative change to marriage laws, a court ruling based on constitutional guarantees of equality, or by direct popular vote (via ballot initiative or referendum). The recognition of same-sex marriage is a political and social issue, and also a religious issue in many countries and debates continue to arise over whether people in same-sex relationships should be allowed marriage or some similar status (a civil union). Same-sex marriage can provide those in same-sex relationships who pay their taxes with government services and make financial demands on them comparable to those afforded to and required of those in opposite-sex marriages. Same-sex marriage also gives them legal protections such as inheritance and hospital visitation rights.  Various faith communities around the world support allowing those of the...
