Team Ground Rules and Guidelines
What are the general expectations for all members of the team?

The general expectations for all team B members is that everyone participates in assignments and are contributing equally to all team assignments. Also everyone is expected to put forth their best efforts, as well as pull their own weight. All members are expected to come to class each week and pay attention so that they can contribute valuable ideas and what they learned in class to team assignments. Effective communication is expected for all team members to ensure that everyone is clear of what is expected of them and to ensure assignments are submitted in a timely manner. A consistent line of communication is expected. If any team member cannot be contacted via phone, we as team members should also communicate in the team forum. Team members are expected to complete all assignments. Team assignments are expected to be completed no later than Monday evening and are to be proofed on Tuesday through a rough draft emailed or placed in the forum for all team members to review, once revised the assignments are to be submitted on Tuesday night or Wednesday by 4pm by either the team leader for that week or by the last member to review the assignment. Communication will be done through the forum, email, text, and telephone conversation.

Expectations for Time Management and Involvement

(Participation, communication with the team, accessibility, etc.)
The expectations for time management within the team is that all members of the team are using their time wisely and are being considerate to others time by not waiting until the last minute to work on projects. It is expected for everyone involved in the team to set time aside in advance to collaborate with other members of the team. In addition, whenever the team decides to meet and collaborate that the time decided on is convenient for all team members. Each member of the team is expected to be involved in every project and participate. If a member of the team is unable to meet when there is a scheduled meeting that team member is responsible for communicating their absence or tardiness with the other members of the team. All members are expected to follow the class and schools policies by not plagiarizing and completing their own assignments. If team members are unclear of the assignment or what is expected from them they are expected to turn to other team members for guidance or to contact the teacher to clarify. All team C members are expected to read ahead for the following week’s assignment that way if they have any questions those could be addressed in class by the teacher or discussed and answered by teammates.

Ensuring Fair and Even Contribution and Collaboration
What strategy will you use to ensure that all team members are contributing and collaborating appropriately? Describe the communication strategy you will use if a team member is not contributing and collaborating effectively. How will the team manage conflicts between team members?
To ensure that all members are contributing and collaborating appropriately the first step that will be taken is through effective communication, which will consist of consistently communicating. Each week the team will assign someone different to take lead of the assignments this will consist of that person submitting and proofing the final project as well as submitting the assignment in a timely manner. If an individual may be having an issue in their personal life that is preventing them from putting 100% into their work the goal would be to offer assistance, empathize with them but at the same time remind them of the goal that we all came here for and to let them know how much the team could use their participation. At the end of each class or in between breaks the members of the team are to meet up and discuss the upcoming week’s assignment and everyone’s role in that assignment. Also an agreed time line will be set as to when everyone should have their portion completed by so that the assignment will be turned in on time and leaving additional time for any proofing and mishaps that may occur so that other team members grades who have worked so hard are not jeopardized. The team will manage conflicts by dealing with them head on and coming to an understanding before moving on. If a team member does not contribute to the assignment their name will be left off of the assignment and this will be brought to the teacher’s attention each time that this occurs. The remaining of the team members will be responsible for that other teammate’s portion of the assignment. Team C understands that we all may have lives outside of school and that unfortunate situations may sometimes occur however, it is the team members’ responsibility to communicate with the other team members if they may fall short of a deadline. This team mate must continuously communicate with the other members of the team when they can expect to receive your portion of the assignment. This allowance will only be allowed once per team mate and team members should not be continuously late with their assignments; this will not be tolerated.

Special Considerations

What do you, as a team, agree will make this team experience different from past team experiences?
Every experience will be a different experience because as we all learn together we grow individually taking in new ideas and past experiences that we collectively come together to collaborate and contribute into making this experience better than the last. A lot of the members of the team have not worked with each other making this experience different because we are not aware of those other individual’s strengths or weaknesses. This experience will allow the team members to learn from each other. The different points of views from unique individuals will help in looking at assignments through different perspectives and developing different scenarios that will lead to a well thought out conclusion covering all aspects of the assignment.
