Personal statement Reg. Application for Foundation programme in Engineering Hello, my name is Victoria Mitryakova. I'm seventeen. All my life I have wondered what I really want for my future profession and then the moment of choice came. Everyone can confirm that I am a creative, purposeful, patient, diverse and active person. I can not sit in one place and I always try to come up with something new. I think one of my most distinguishing characteristics is the diversity of experiences I possess. I am a science student with a flair for the arts. From the very childhood I have deepened in the artistic world and I can not imagine my future life without creativity and art. I graduated from art school in my beautiful city, took part in various competitions. In school life I was an indispensable person in the field of design and culture. To create something new and architecture is my occupation! Nowardays great changes happen in all spheres of life, technology is developing, buildings are improving, the world requires entirely new perspective people who can change the lives of each of us. Undoubtedly changes relate to architectural activity, where every detail is an important part. People, who construct our future, should have a good education, a good knowledge and most importantly the incredible creative thinking. So I can say with great pride about the University of Limerick that can put the beginning of my future career. Since I was in high school I have known that it is better to get engineering education abroad because in Russia this trend in education has not yet become so fundamental. There is no doubt that it is almost impossible to take part in some scientific conferences which are connected with main field because of unpopularity of the subject. This was the main reason why I started learning foreign languages from my teen ages. I have a great desire to connect my future life with English language, that is why Ireland is the perfect place for my education, it is impossible to convey in words how I became addicted to this place. I think everyone has a city and a country where he can work and create, Limerick is the best place where I can begin to carry out my dreams come true. I was in Ireland recently, but I feel like I left a part of myself out there, it is impossible to imagine how I wish to study at the Institute of Limerick. I will achieve the purposes, will fulfill my dream, in spite of everything I am ready to fight, I can prove that I am special because I put soul into every project, in every picture that I create. Many people are alien to those feelings, but I'm the type of person who is able to surprise and please others. Thus for me entering your university would give me a great opportunities to study engineering and architecture skills and practice together with foreign students all over the world which can give me new invaluable experience what is really convenient and beneficial for nowadays successful person. Taking everything into consideration, I would like to say that I want justify not only my expectations but primarily my parent’s ones as they have already done a lot not only for me but also for my younger sister and elder brother to realize ourselves.
