Limon’s Personal Statement
There is a mandarin words called“Si Shui Nian Hua”which described the wonderful time always elapse so fast. When I recalled my high school’s lite, there are three main topic in my daily life.They are study, club and film.
When I was a junior school student, I was a “middle student” in my class. I didn't know how to show confidence to my classmates and teachers.It’s all changed by that three years, every thing was started by when I learned how to mange time.In our high school, there is nobody who would always supervise you in any time.It’s an exactly western pattern. I met a grade 12’s big brother at volunteer’s group in an activity.He was good at computer and design. I would watch the movement of mouse in his hand every lunch time.I was really admire for his computer skills. I started to learn how to use edited program from him.When I firstly saw “Edited by Limon Li” in the big screen, I feel a little bit proud for that.In the mean time,I got “Prize for Outstanding Contributor” in that ceremony.It stimulate me to learn what is film deeply. I started to watch and try to understand some of indie films.Somebody love it, someone doesn't.I enjoy the moment we could go through the camera lens to see things be happened in different society.The magic thing is that I can feel different life style through watch films, there are lots of things we might never meet in our daily life that we could go through from movies.After the that kinds of films, the audience always could get introspection from these stories.It’s why I love films.In this year, I got inspiration from “After Lucia”I started to focus on the school bully and how effects by children’s family.I wrote and film a scrip called “SPOTLIGHT” which shows a lonely boy’s life.It’s the first time I tried to use long lens to film, I learned how to made the story board that would helped the process more convenience.In the mean time, it bring to me many challenges.
