The project was written by three authors, Lucy Barnard-Brak was from Baylor Univerity’s School of Education, DeAnn Lechtenberger was from the University of North Texas, and William Y. Lan was from the College of Education at Texas Tech University (Barnard-Brak, Lechtenberger, & Lan, 2010). The study was focused on how students with disabilities developed and utilized strategies to deliver request on accommodations related to their learning experiences due to their unique academic needs. Many students with disabilities fail to successfully complete their education, albeit their number increases in enrollment every year.
