I will always remember the day I met Maria Placensia. She was this tiny woman with a gigantic heart who came up to me and introduced herself. She told me what her name was and how she had met the Lord. I was born into a Christian household and have worshiped God throughout my entire life. However, when I was about 12 I realized the role Jesus had in my life and how critical He was to it, leading to my decision of getting baptized. Whenever I meet an individual who believes in Christ and can tell a wonderful testimony about what He has done in their life I am extremely happy to hear it. Eventually, I became extremely attached to Maria and I have been shaped incredibly by her point of view on life.
This woman has come to signify an immense amount to me and I am extremely grateful to God for having placed her in my life. Maria has influenced my existence in such a way that I have even come to consider her my second mother. She is an incredible woman who has a beautiful testimony about what God has done for her in her lifetime. She has helped strengthen my faith and has shaped me to be the person I am today. I will always remember every single time I had an argument with my mom, the one person I would go to for advice was Maria. I would sit down with her and rant about every single detail of the argument and she would sit and listen. When I would conclude my rant I would ask her for advice and she would tell me “Remember you hold Jesus in your heart, do not argue back. Always remember that Jesus loves you no matter what happens or what situation you are faced
