• Describe a company that you believe represents the 4Cs well, and provide examples of why you believe they are successful at it.
• Describe a company that you believe does not do well putting the 4Cs into practice, and provide two (2) examples of why you believe they struggle at it.
• What recommendations would you give the company who needs to update their approach
The company I chose as a company that represents the 4c’s is Starbucks. It is a product that everyone wants. The service is excellent in sense that you get in and out very quickly. The product is made fresh to order and the customer service is the best. It’s convenient. It can be found in any neighborhood or mall. The environment is warm and cozy yet very comfortable. Starbucks is a little pricey but the quality of the product more than makes up for it. Starbucks has the convenience of wi-fi and plenty of sitting areas inside or outside. It is a place where people of all ages can go to have meetings, have some alone time, or just hang out with friends.
The company that I chose that does not represent the 4c’s is Dairy Queen. The customer service sucks. The locations are minimal and the food is not as great as it use to be. I see very few commercials. I’m not sure if the competition became too much for them or if it was just under poor management, but we only have one left in our area. They use to have the best dipped ice crème cones ever and the burgers were pretty good as well.
I would recommend that Dairy Queen invest a little more money in advertisement and training for the employees. When you try to compare to the customer service that the workers at Chic-fi-le or Starbucks have to the customer service that the workers at Dairy Queen has, it just does not compare. Dairy Queen workers seem unhappy and sad. Who wants to patronize a place where the employees are always
