Morally Upright Man My first day in IHMA Campus was not so good as I expect it to be. It’s like making a journey to a place you don’t know where you are; going straight to a nowhere and deep in the darkest part of the world with no person to talk with. This is what I’ve experienced when I first step to a new school that I don’t know how to deal with and make some adjustments but even in the darkest part of the world where there is no light that you are so alone, there’s a tall, black and possess a physical fitness of a Filipino man who help me in the middle of curiosity and adjustments. That man was John Paul Cayamay Galviso who is not afraid and fear in helping a stranger like me. Difference in personality and physical appearance doesn’t matter if you have the definiteness to help. No wonder that Mr. Galviso is a Filipino man not only physically but in character and attitude. He is very hospitable and helpful person who don’t know how to say “NO” when you are asking favour to him and do not choose to help even a stranger like me. He is a man who stand for what he believes and a dignified man. Machiavellian, that’s how I describe him because he once said “All Means are justifiable” he will do everything to get what he want and do what he intend to. If my favourite subject is Physics, John Paul is very good in Mathematics and I considered it as an excellent Mathematician because, he is attached to numbers. He even formulates his own formulas to solve different problems. Despite of busy and hectic schedule of this man, he never forgets to relax and feel the goodness of life through listening to music and breathes some fresh air. This man is a music lover and he has a good voice; loves to sing songs composed by One Direction like One Thing. He is never afraid of sharing and showing his talent that even in our classroom the golden voice of this man can be heard. Aside from music, this man also loves mangas or animes like me, we both like Naruto Anime and that’s why we are making fun of ninja techniques and weaving signs of our own versions. He is addicted and strongly attached in playing DOTA. I counted this man as one of my friend who helped me in times that I don’t know where to go with. I salute to this man for his unsurpassed intelligence in the field of Mathematics. This person inspires me to stand for what I believe and to be morally upright as he is. This man has principles in life but he is too emotional. I hope that this man can control his temper and emotions.

City of Island Adventure
Surigao City is popularly known as the City of Island Adventures. It has 17 panoramic islands blessed with long stretches of white sand beaches, mystical caves, captivating rock formations, vast mangrove forest and under water sceneries. The city has abundant mineral reserves including gold, iron, manganese, silica, cobalt, copper, chromite and among the world's largest nickel deposits in Nonoc Island. Diverse species of fish and aquatic life can be found within its territorial sea boundaries. The city falls under the tropical climate type and prone to brief afternoon downpours and thunderstorms. Its location makes it an ideal jump off point for adventure-seeking tourists who visit nearby islands of Siargao, Dinagat and Bucas Grande. It is also Mindanao's closest landmass to the Visayas region, separated 11 nautical miles by Surigao Strait and a 40-minute ferry ride to Panaon Island.
At the end of the road visitors will find Mt.Baragabon Resort overlooking the blue sea while humble nipa cottages stand shoulder to shoulder by the shore. Unlike the usual sandy beaches in the country, Mabua Pebble Beach as the name implies is uniquely dotted with smooth stones. The pebbles at the beach front of the resort are quite large compared to the ones dominating the shoreline on the other side of the mountain. Follow the Mabua-Looc Concrete Mountain Trail and be rewarded by a scenic trek. The marker along the mountainside track indicates that the beach on the other side is already a part of Sitio Looc in Brgy. Punta Bilar. Marvel at the pure azure waves smashing against the coast and striking rock formations here. The shoreline of Looc beach also abounds with pebbles eccentrically designed by nature. Not to miss when heading to this destination is Surigao’s native delicacy called sayongsong. There are two stores in Brgy.Ipil that sells this soft and sweet indigo-colored treat. Sayongsong is made of cooked glutinous rice blended with coco milk, sugar and milk and wrapped in cone-shaped banana leaf.Aside from sayongsong, eating seafood is a must-try when you’re in Surigao city. Dine at Ocean Bounties Fresh and Frozen Food Restaurant that serves curacha, lobster, prawn and squid among others. But if you’re on a budget, rush to Surigao City Public Market for where fresh produce are cheaper. For dinner, try another local favorite – the roadside barbecue stalls at the pier.

True Happiness
Cellphones, laptops, PSPs, iPods, mp3s, mp4s, mp5s and the like. Those things will gives us happiness but there’s an expiration date or shall I say it has a deadline and it will not last for long time. Thus, it will not give us permanent happiness but rather a temporary one. Before I go deeper I will first define the word “happiness” in my own understanding. Happiness, when I heard this word I ignored it and merely an ordinary word but when I felt it my world suddenly change and what I felt makes me understand what is the meaning of it; As I define it, it is enjoying pleasure in life and experiencing complete and total satisfaction or contentment.
As what I observed, there are two types of happiness; these are the TRUE HAPPINESS and the next one is FALSE/TEMPORARY HAPPINESS. The first type of happiness is happiness with God or simply true happiness as we call it. True happiness can only be achieved with God and with him alone. This kind of happiness is with God. He is the, the truth and the light. He is the source of true happiness.
On the other hand, false happiness are temporary satisfaction and contentment over all the materials in the world like what I have mentioned on the beginning of my paragraph having contentment that will not last for a long time and has deadline. Luxurious things and pleasures in life are not always the basis of experiencing happiness; it will only lead us to being selfish and not contented with things we had. As a result, we aim for more that will only leads us to evil things in order to get something. We cannot always achieve happiness on those things because, happiness with God is different.
If we want to experience true happiness let us commit ourselves with God and empty our hearts. If we want to filled with the joy of heaven let us all empty ourselves and put God at the centre of our faith by that we can achieved contentment. God’s words and spirits will strengthen our soul and will bring joyful freedom from our burdens in life. Humble hearts are true source of real happiness. The troubles and hardships that we are experiencing in this world are not greater than the joys of heaven for those who believed in Christ.

Cybercrime Law does not threaten Freedom of Expression Users of social media are in increasing number. Number of cybercrimes doubled year by year that the internet can’t prevent it. Bullying, libellous and malicious comments are freely posted. The response of the government is needed to avoid crimes happening on the internet world. But my question is do this law zip or ties the tongues of the mass or shall I say does it violate the freedom of expression? Internet use is another way for self-expression. Social media may be helpful and advantageous in some ways like getting in touch with family, relatives, and friends all over the world and keep updated on the latest trends and current news. It cannot be denied that there have been posting picture and comments meant to bully this or that person and the internet victims can’t do anything about it. But now with the cybercrime law, those who will make libellous and malicious postings on the in the internet will be liable under this law. It is good to everybody that social media will be controlled. There will be protection to those who once bullied can now attain justice. Especially, teenagers will learn how to handle and regulate their postings, comments and tweets. Cybercrime law does not threaten the right for freedom of expression. Still postings are allowed but people must think before clicking in the internet world. It will not zip or tie the tongues of the mass but rather it will teach people to be well-disciplined and respect the people’s privacy and rights. This law is created not goal of paralyzing the mass but rather for the common good. Teenagers will benefit of this law especially in their critical years of growing up. Cybercrime law will regulate and control cybercrimes to develop a well-disciplined citizen. It aims people think before clicking. It will give justice to those who experience bullying. The right for freedom of expression has its limit. Through this law we can attain zero violence in the internet world.

Criticizing Petrarchan sonnet 307
After experiencing the religious spirit of Middle Ages, It was followed by marked of the rebirth of the human spirit and this rebirth made possible all the great achievements of man which represented a basic shift in values to more worldly concerns like commerce, science and arts; this period is also known as Renaissance. It was this period that new literary forms and techniques were discovered, nourished and nurtured specifically in writing poems. Formerly, Latin was the language preferred by writers and scholars, but these two writers Dante and Petrarch chose Italian for their greatest works; thus, establishing the Italian language. The sonnet was invented that time to express personal emotion. Italy contributed to the Renaissance literary works like Petrarch’s sonnets which became a model of courtly poetry, both in their format and delicate lyrics and example of it is Sonnet 307.
Sonnet 307 was a Petrarchan sonnet which reveals colourful, imagery and delicate nuances of feeling and elegant language. As I observed when I read the sonnet, every second syllable is stressed and according to Mr. Jyrnell B. Salino that it was an iambic syllable and to verse where the unaccented syllable is followed by an accented syllable. Each line of the poem has five feet and a line with this number of feet is called a pentameter. I also noticed that it has fourteen iambic pentameter lines and no doubt it belongs therefore, to a class of poems called sonnets.
I read the poem again and studied the ending words of it and also I assigned letters to the first ending words. So I asked myself does the ending word in the second line rhyme with that in the first. I noticed right away that it doesn’t so I assigned it the letter b. I looked the ending wordin the third line and since it rhymes with ice, so I assigned to it the same letter assigned to ice. The ending word on rhymes with done, so I assigned it the letter of the alphabet to each word that has a different line.
After criticizing, analysing and observing the sonnet. The set of letters which is called the rhyme (rime) scheme appeared. The rhyme scheme of sonnet 307 is abba, cdcdcd. Based on what I remembered a sonnet which contains this kind of rhyme scheme is called Italian or Petrarchan in honor of Petrarch of Italy who introduced this kind of lyric poem. As I continue I’ve notice that the last six rhyme scheme cdecde. Thus, Petrarchan sonnets are indeed unique.

The Basis of Life What is Cell? What is the structure and composition of living matter or the physical and chemical basis of life itself? These are questions which bothers the most brilliant human minds. We, humans are good observer why? Because, we carefully observe things around us with the use of our delicate senses that led to formulation of questions that seeks answers or creation of problems because of our curiosity. The Scientists’ discovery and identification of the right mix of atoms and molecules that compose cellular material did not success of switching it to make it alive or breathing life into it. Well, cytology will answer all of our questions related to the origin of life because, as far as humans are concerned, it is the study of the cell; the basic unit of life, its structure and function. It comes from the word cyto meaning cell and the word logus means study and it is in the study of the cell that you realize and appreciate the wonderful world of living things despite of their great diversity, living things share a common pattern of basic structure and function.
All living things are made up of cells. Some organisms are unicellular, made up of only one cell. Some unicellular organisms may be held together by a matrix or binding material to form a colony. Other organisms are multicellular, composed of countless number of cells. The life of even the most complicated multicellular organism still start from a cell-a fertilized egg or zygote.
A zygote divides into two and each newly formed cell subdivides. Further divisions of cells occur continuously until a multitude of cells organize into tissues, tissues into organs, organs into organ systems of multicellular organisms perform. Fantastic isn’t from the smallest living organism to an organ system that’s how science explain the origin of life. This concept of in Biology is called Cell Theory. It is the most important concept in Biology which deals with the basis of life.
Basically, the concept may be summarized into three statements. First, all living are structurally made up of cells. Second, the cell is the fundamental unit of life. Lastly, cells comes from the division of pre-existing cells. Thus, cell is the basis of life

Unwise Decision Life is indeed full of regrets. We all know that only God is perfect and do not have the chance to any mistakes or to make wrong decisions. We are just humans which often commit mistakes and make some unwise decision because, of our imperfections. As a result, we always ask for God’s wisdom and enlightenment for us to do what is right. We are not perfect so we cannot avoid having mistaken especially in making decisions. Enable for us to make a wise decision it take a lot of time for to think but for wise decision maker it takes a lot of time to come up with a wise decision. One of the biggest mistakes that I made in my life is that; I was not able to discover Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy earlier when I’m still preparing to enter high school life. It is sad to say that I’m only spending small time to the school where I wish to spend my high school years. It is my last year in high school where I discovered IHMA, the school of my dreams. I regret those times I’ve wasted to other schools rather than spending it to IHMA. Those wasted time is the consequence of my unwise decision on choosing the right school for me. Despite of regrets, I’m still glad and thankful that even in a small duration of time God gave me the chance to part of IHMA family. Now I can call myself as an IHMAnian who possess the ideals of Christ-centeredness. For me, it is such an honor to be a piece of puzzle that completes the family of IHMA. I regretted but that’s life. It seems that one components of life is regrets brought to us by our imperfections. I, myself is not a good and wise decision maker and I often make unwise decisions in my life. Just like all of you, I am a human being not like God Thus, it is normal for me to commit mistakes in decision making and regret at the end of my action. Yes, indeed, we are not perfect but we can avoid having mistakes in making unwise decisions with the guidance of the loving hands of God through his wisdom and enlightenment that will enables us to make a decision. Regrets are fruit of unwise decision.

Products need to adapt as demands change. At the same time, marketing does not involve misleading, tricking or manipulation the customer. Driving down the roads you see billboards everywhere and that is part of marketing. Logos people were on their shirts and signs in the middle or on the sign of football fields are all part of marketing. ...Abstract In the world of today with rude competition everywhere, customers’ expectations have become higher than ever. It is not the customers who come towards the products but it is the products which should make their way to the customers. And for this, only competitive businesses that are able to stimulate customers’ interests survive in the market. Therefore firms need to increase customers’ awareness about their products or services to be able to pull and encourage them to engage in purchase of their products. And as such, the promotional mix used by a company is really important for this task. The promotional mix in itself is very broad, consisting of various tools, like advertising, personal selling, direct marketing, public relation and sales promotion. To make the optimum use of these tools, marketers usually select them, depending on their budget and objectives, as well as the sector in which they operate (Kotler & Armstrong 1997). As such, research has been conducted on the use of promotional mix and research questions and objectives have been set. The methodology which will be used has been devised. ...Marketing is the process of communicating the value of a product or service to customers, for the purpose of selling that product or service. Marketing can be looked at as an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, delivering and communicating value to customers, and customer relationship management that also benefits the organization. Marketing is the science of choosing target markets through market analysis and market segmentation, as well as understanding consumer behavior and providing superior customer value. From a societal point of view, marketing is the link between a society’s material requirements and its economic patterns of response.
