Maslow's Hierarchy needs strategies
1) Physiological
a) I’ll talk with the child and ask them if they need help with something. I will support them, and be there if they need something.
b) I’ll make sure that my future students are well fed so he/she cans concentrate in the classroom.
c) I’ll check if they are physically okay to do all school work, and if they are not I will find the solution to their problems.
d) Some kids might be homeless or don’t have enough clothes, I will do anything in my hands to help those children. I might not be able to help all of them by myself, but i will find the way to help them get the help they need.
e) I’ll help my future students with any struggle they might have because it can interfere with their learning. I don’t want any of my students to fail, and I will do my best to help them accomplish their goal in the classroom as well in their lives.
2) Safety
a) I will help my students who don’t feel safe at school and needs protection.
b) I will help any student who may be physically abuse in their house. I will be there to help them to the entire process until I find the way to help them and they feel secure.
c) I will talk to my students to find out if they don’t feel safe in their neighborhood. I might not be able to help them move, but I will find the way to protect them and give them advice to avoid future problems.
d) I will talk to my students to find out if they are being bullied. I will talk to them and help them overcome their fears, and also find the solution to the problem. I will teach my students that bullying others is not a good thing.
e) I will try to find out if any of my students don’t feel safe with themselves. I will find the help they need to accept and value themselves.
3) Love and Belongings
a) I’ll teach my students that they are all equal, and we should accept each other for who we are, not because of what can I offer to you, or because how popular you might be, or what you might have.
b) I will teach my students that we need each other in life. I will teach them to be social and interact with each other.
c) I will teach my students to welcome and accept any person despite of their race, color, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, or physical disability.
d) I will teach my students to create a great peaceful environment in the classroom and outside of it.
e) I will teach them what love is, and treat them with it. I will teach them compassion and sensitivity.
4) Esteem
a) I will teach my students how important they are, and teach them their value and the value of others.
b) I will teach them to love themselves and love others as well. It is really important because it shows how kind and understanding you are. It shows how much you care about you and other people.
c) I will teach them that everyone makes mistakes and we learn from them. If we fall, we stand up and keep going because life doesn’t end there.
d) I will teach them hope because when you are desperate and you feel lonely, and you feel that no one loves you, you need to remember that there still hope for you. There’s always someone who loves you and care about you. There are great things waiting for you.
e) I will create activities that will help those children to feel good about themselves and others. I will make that feel alive, full of dreams, hope, love and respect.
