Who was Menhit? Menhit was the goddess of war. She was sometimes called Menchit, Menhet, Menkit, or Menkhet, but all of the names mean “the slaughterer”. The names also meant “the one who sacrificed” and “she who massacres”. Because she was very aggressive and warrior-like, she was sometimes known as the goddess of lions.
