Mental Process Paper
Para este cuarto ensayo individual se solicita que se compare y contraste los cuatro estilos de la inteligencia creativa y su influencia en la toma de decisiones en la organización. Luego se deberá discutir las cinco fuerzas que influyen los modelos mentales y la forma de pensar. Se deberá incluir ejemplos sobre como los modelos mentales o formas de pensamiento pueden limitar el proceso de la toma de decisiones. Por último se deberá analizar los modelos mentales y formas de pensamiento más utilizados que guian el proceso de la toma de decisiones en una empresa. Y cómo estos modelos influencian la toma de decisiones. Los cuatro tipos de inteligencia son los más utilizados para tomar decisiones dentro de un negocio. Estas son conocidas como intuitiva, que se enfoca en resultados y busca experiencias del pasado, va orientado a metas, utiliza el sentido común, se dirige a resolver problemas y es justo aunque fuerte con sus oponentes. La inteligencia innovador transmite la necesidad de conocer como se pueden manejar los problemas y es sistematico. En la inteligencia inspiracional se centra en los cambios sociales y en llevar sus ideas y propuestas hasta verlas cumplidas, posee conciencia social y tiene fuertes convicciones. La cuarta inteligencia es la imaginativa que se centra en la creatividad y la visualización imaginando diversas formas de ver un objeto o servicio y toma riesgos. Al comparar estos cuatro estilos podemos decir que todos pretenden llegar a un resultado, adquirir experiencia, lograr acciones, resolver problemas, adquirir datos, considerar las oportunidades y todo esto logra un cambio social para llegar a una meta. Pero la diferencia estre los cuatro estilos, podria constar en que el intuitivo se basa en el pasado, en la innovación se deja llevar por el sistema, en el imaginativo es mas artístico y en lo que se piense mas allá de la realidad y en el estilo de inspiración se piensa más en la parte de los criterios de la misma persona.
Los Modelos Mentales se refieren a la manera en que cada individuo ve su realidad como única y se le hace difícil muchas veces transar con la realidad del otro. (Kofman, 2005). Las cinco fuerzas que influyen en los modelos mentales son conocidas por el ambiente, factores hereditarios, educación, genética y experiencias pasadas.
La genética afecta el ser que cada cual es. Y tiene a apoyar la versión de que el comportamiento de cada persona puede ya estar predispuesto dependiendo de sus genes. El ambiente es otra fuerza que puede influenciar como las personas se comportan. Si su medio ambiente es uno de pocos recursos y valores las personas se pueden acostumbrar a no buscar la forma de mejorar su situación. El factor hereditario juega un papel muy importante en el comportamiento humano. Muchas veces aun sin el hijo conocer al padre puede hacer cierta cosa de la misma forma que este. La educación puede ser un factor muy determinante. Mientras mas educación mejor preparación tiene la persona para enfrentar su futuro. Y por ultimo, los experiencias pasadas. A veces el recuerdo de cómo fue en una situación en particular imposibilita al hombre a volver a pasar por la misma situación. Esto puede ser bueno pero a la misma vez le imposibilita tratar de hacer las cosas de forma diferente para cambiar el resultado final. El desarrollar la habilidad para trabajar con modelos mentales requiere del aprendizaje de aptitudes nuevas y de implementación en las empresas mediante innovaciones. Podemos determinar que existen muchos modelos mentales dentro de una organización, que no necesariamente todos estaran de acuerdo.
Lo importante de los modelos mentales es que permiten divisar que hay más de un punto de vista en las percepciones de la realidad y que no necesariamente hay un punto correcto o incorrecto. En muchas ocasiones un modelo mental refleja la idea que tenemos de la realidad basada en experiencias pasadas. Esto puede provocar que se tenga una visión limitada de la realidad. Es importante poder ver el cuadro completo de la empresa para poder determinar el modelo mas apropiado para cada situacion en particular.
Los Modelos Mentales son importantes porque establecen y filtran nuestras percepciones e influyen en la forma en que actuamos en todos los ámbitos de nuestra vida, en particular en el ambiente laboral. De acuerdo a lo anterior, se debera ser muy cuidadosos para que la presencia y uso de los modelos mentales no interfiera en la flexibilidad necesaria que se necesita para actuar dentro de la organización. Si alguno de los modelos mentales no facilitan el trabajo dentro de la empresa entonces el equipo debera tomar la decision de utilizar el que mejor provecho pueda tener para su gestion necesaria.
Todos los modelos presentados tienen la intencion de ayudar a las empresas a lograr sus metas siguiendo de forma adecuada los valores, metas y mision de la empresa. No se debe pensar que si en una situacion en particular un modelo no funciono, los demas por lo tanto tampoco podran ser utilizados. Esto requiere de un buen adiestramiento y de buena comunicacion dentro de los miembros de cada empresa. Cada persona piensa y actua de forma diferente dependiendo de sus valores, educacion y experiência pasada entre otros. Es por eso que siempre se debe de dar la oportunidad a todos a expresarse para poder conocer todos los diferentes puentos de vista. Para poder trabajar con los modelos mentales sera necesario que las personas de la empresa aprendan nuevas herramientas y desarrollen otras orientaciones y que a su vez dicha empresa acepte dichos cambios. Esto debido a que si la empresa o sus directores no aceptan los nuevos movimientos o sugerencias será imposible para ellos crecer o poder innovar para mantenerse a flote en un mundo tan competitivo como el actual.
