Motivation is the Key

According Webster, motivation is defined as the act of giving someone a reason for doing something. It’s an influence that causes a reaction. So in the business sense, employee motivation drives an organization to pull resources, whether financial or nonfinancial, to inspire employees to perform to their highest capabilities.
Why it is that motivating employees is a top priority of many organizations in today’s nation? There are many factors surrounding the importance of keeping employees motivation in high spirits. The number one important factor is retention. A happy employee is a devoted one. She/he is devoted to their employer; they are a huge fan in their work industry and that type of commitment and positivity is a driving force in causes and spreading inspiration throughout an organization.
Retention leads to another important factor that benefits an organization. Motivated and devoted employees free employers up to focus their concentration on other key areas in the organization. Motivated employees accomplish the task at hand, allowing managers and business owners to handle different conflicts in the organization. A successful organization is based not only on financial aspect but sense of unity in that organization.
Another factor that harbors employee motivation is the feeling of complacency. Employees who feel that they are “struck” hold a valuable key to causing despair throughout an organization. Complacency hinders employees’ attitudes, work ethics, and potentially damaging to an organization. It creates feelings of uncertainty, stops growth or progression, creates “burnout.” These types of feelings lead to a lack performance, unhappiness in both work and personal life.
