Although it may seem obvious, motorcycle riders face unique challenges on the road such as the lack of protective barriers between the road and riders, difficulties in anticipating and seeing a motorcycle, and the lack of experience and safety while riding. First, other vehicles can obscure motorcycles since we are a smaller target, preventing others to see you; whether it is through your side-view or rear-view mirror. This also is the case at intersections. Sometimes, there could be trees or tall grasses or weeds to keep motorist from noticing an oncoming motorcycle until it is too late. Road conditions are another barrier motorists as well as motorcyclist face. More to the point, motorcyclists should avoid such things as potholes, ruts, uneven pavement, and oil slicks.
