EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) by way of undergraduate Degree qualification, directs that all level 300 Degree students undertake an industrial attachment (Internship) and submit a report to the effect. The report submitted covers the duties and schedule, field of experience and recommendations.
The report is used to evaluate the student's performance during his or her period of internship. This report covers the internship which I, Erasmus Tempo Korley with students’ index number B050912039 undertook at Liberty DMI Microfinance Company Limited. The purpose is to enable the intern to have practical work acquaintance. The report will disclose the practical issues in the organization and compare it to that of the theories learnt in the classroom and the real life situations.
At Liberty DMI Microfinance Company Limited, the main duty that was assigned to the intern were to book fixed deposits and monitor its maturity or liquidity, review loan application and loan monitory, audit reconciliation and writing of cheque, bank reconciliation and the use of Microsoft Office to write memos and report (MS-Word) and prepare/draft records (MS-Excel).
In malice of the few challenges, it was a basket full of experience to undergo the internship. I recommend that the organization should purchase a backup device which will preserve all data when there is software crush. This will curb the problem of clients’ data loss and aid easy in recording and updating customer’s data.
