my cats
Long time ago, a people raised a cat and a dog as his pet. And the cat and the dog were very good friends. They ate together, lived together, and play together. They almost stayed together all of the day. One day, the master lost his ancestral gem and he was very sad. Then the cat and the dog decided to find the gem. On the road, they met a mountain, the dog said” Cat brother, climb on my back!” Then they met a river. The cat couldn’t swim. The dog said” Don’t worry. I can help you. Climb on my back.” Finally, they found the gem. But when they returned to home, the cat told their master” it’s me who find the gem, and the dog did nothing.” When the dog wanted to explain it, the master didn’t give dog a chance. He gave the cat a delicious fish, and kicked the dog out of the door. The dog and the cat weren’t friend since then. That’s why dogs bite cats as soon as they meet, and dogs always pursue while cats always escape. And another reason is that dogs and cats have very different language. When the dog meets the cat, the dog always wags tail, because they think it is a friendly way. But cats often think it is provocation. But nowadays dogs and cats aren’t always enemy any more. Sometimes, they can stay together peacefully.
Maybe you could say the dog is a better pet. But I don’t know why, I just like cats very much. I always become crazy when I meet a cat. They are really cute. When they want something, they fawn on you and follow you all around. And cats can be very cleaned if you trained them. You can prepare a basin for it, and put some sand in the basin. Then they will do their business in the basin. When you sleep at night, they all get into your blanket. And they can also put their head on your arm and sleep with you. You can also tell them those things that you don’t want other people know, because they will never sell you out. I have raised 4 or 5 cats these years. I remember I cried 2 days when my first cat died. But later, I haven’t been so sad like that. Because I think my cats may have next life. Maybe they become a human. That could be happier than being a cat.
Some people like cats. Some people like dogs. But I just want to say that whether you like cats or dogs, you should treat them as better as you can, because they may be with you for several years. But you could be with them for their whole lives.

...analyze the results. The study consists of job satisfaction, which is extremely important to an organization’s overall success. This particular study will allow managers to gain understanding and knowledge about what type of human behaviors can be used to strengthen an organization’s performance. Chosen Variables I have chosen gender for my qualitative data and intrinsic for my quantitative data. The reason that I have chosen these two variables is because I thought it would be interesting to analyze if males or females were more satisfied with their job, and how the actual job performance reflected their job satisfaction rating. Difference in variable types Qualitative variables include subjects that are non-numerical, such as gender. Quantitative variables include subjects that are numerical and give us a clear visual as to what the subject looks like. For instance, if we see a qualitative variable such as cat, we only know that the variable is a cat. A quantitative variable could tell us the weight of the cat, giving us a visual to compare the different sizes of the different cats, i.e. cat one weighs ten pounds, cat two weighs fifteen pounds. Cats and Dogs

...English Comp Fund 16 November 2001 Cats and Dogs This compare and contrast essay is for English composition, it will be on cats, and dogs, and The three points are going to be about; fur, hearing, and dogs being omnivorous, and cats being carnivores. Cats and dogs are at the top of the list for pets in the U.S. today. One can train dogs with a lot of time, and hard work, yet most cats are difficult or not trainable at all. Most dogs and cats have different lengths of hair, and they come in many colors, and lengths. They both have a strong sense of hearing, and a tremendous sense of smell. My family and I have owned many pets. We currently have two dogs, and two cats. Phoebe is a Yellow Lab with short blonde hair, and Lizzie is a Black Lab with short black hair. Most dogs shed, but there are some breeds that shed remarkably little, or not at all. Brushing a dog’s coat will cut down on the amount of hair on the furniture, and floors. We adopted our two cats from an animal shelter. Shockte has short white hair, and Izzy has long gray hair. Cats are easier to take care of than dogs due to their self-grooming habits; therefore, they do not need baths regularly. The only problem is they do get hairballs that can lead to health problems. There are three ways to rid a cat of a hairball; a bowel movement, regurgitation, or having them surgically removed. The more love and affection a pet gets, the more they are likely to give back. Cats and dogs love to play and must receive...

Love

...Cats and Dogs Cats and dogs, an argument people have been having for centuries. This tension is so bad, there’s even a stereotype that dogs and cats don’t like each other either. Conversations like, which is better? Which one can see further? Whose nose is more sensitive? Which ones cleaner? Which one is friendlier? Who can hear further? Which one is easier to take care of? These are questions people argue every day. There are two different types of people in this world, dog lovers and cat lovers, and they both think their pets are the best. But how are they so sure? One big controversy between dogs and cats, is that both species lovers believe their pet can hear, see, and smell better than the other. But who’s correct? On the category of smell, dogs can smell human fingerprints that are a week old. Their noses are so sensitive they can even smell electricity. The source of the dogs exceptional smell ability is their wet nose, which of course a cat does not have. However, even though dogs may have the upper paw on smell, cats come on top with hearing. The cat’s outer ear flap can rotate 180 degrees and works like a high tech satellite to locate extremely faint noises. Cats can also hear higher pitches than dogs, a cats range starts at 30 hertz and goes up to 60 kilohertz. However a dog’s hearing only goes up to 40 kilohertz. Cats and dogs are red-green colored blind, meaning they see various shades of yellows, whites, and blues. Dogs have superior night vision however, they...

Argumentative Essay On Polydactyl In Felines

...Polydactyl in felines is probably one of my favorite disorder or mutation. I personally have three polydactyl and they are my inspiration for this discussion board topic. Polydactyl is a genetic disorder passed down from one parent that has an autosomal dominant gene. Having an autosomal dominant gene basically means that the normal genes are over powered, and the autosomal dominant gene takes over. While most cats have five toes on each front foot and four toes on each back. Polydactyl cats have extra toes on two or more of their feet. There are two main ways polydactyl cat’s front paws have been described, they have either mittens, or big foot. Mitten kitten front feet literally look like mittens with a thumb. Big foot kitties pretty much...

My Companion

...though. She wasn't another person. She was my pet cat, Squeaky. Squeaky had been a part of the family for as long as I could remember. She was with me since I was two and a half years old. At that time in my life, I didn't see Squeaky as anything but another play toy. But as I grew older, I saw that she was much more than a toy. In March of 1991, we moved. The adults in the family were busy packing things up and transporting them to the new house. My grandma was entertaining my sister and me. After the last load was unpacked, Mom realized that Squeaky wasn't at the new house. My cousins jumped in the car and went back to pick up my very frightened cat. Once she was in the new house, she immediately darted upstairs. She found comfort among my belongings. There she stayed until my aunts and uncles left. When she realized it was only my immediate family left, she began to wander about. She made sure all of our stuff had made it safely. She seemed to understand that this was to be our new home and gave her approval. She wasn't your ordinary cat. Of course she looked like any other cat with her long white fur and patches of brown and black spots. But there was more to Squeaky than her appearance. She had a personality that made her seem almost human. If I ever had a problem and needed someone to talk to, Squeaky seemed to always be there to listen. In high school, it seemed like I was always in disagreement with one of my friends. My emotions would be eating me up inside and I...

Ernest Hemingway Rain

...Cat in the Rain by Ernest Hemingway | Summary The short story "Cat in the Rain" was written by Ernest Hemingway in the 1920´s. It is about an American couple that spends their holidays in an Italian hotel. It is a rainy day and the American woman sees a cat in the rain, which she wants to protect from the raindrops. When she goes out of the hotel, which is kept by an old Italian who really seems to do everything to please that woman, and wants to get the cat, it is gone. After returning to the hotel room, she starts a conversation with her husband George, who is reading all the time, telling him how much she wants to have a cat and other things, for instance her own silver to eat with. Her husband seems to be annoyed by that and not interested at all. At the end of the story there is a knock on the door and the maid stands there holding a cat for the American woman in her hands.Peculiarities of the introduction The first thing that caught my eyes was the long description at the beginning. First there is a description of the environment in good weather, which means spring or summer, then a description of the momentary situation in the rain. This description creates an atmosphere that is sad, cold and unfriendly. To create this atmosphere Hemingway uses words such as "empty" or "the motorcars were gone". Later on, by looking at the relationship of the two Americans, you can see that this description was a foreshadowing of the state of the couple´s relationship: First it was...

Choosing the Right Pet for My Child

...Choosing the Right Pet for My Child ENG121 Composition I 6 August 2010 Choosing the Right Pet for My Child Choosing a pet can be a very challenging and difficult process. There are many things to consider before you can really choose the perfect pet. Pet type would be my first consideration. Other things to think about include how frequently the animal will have to visit the vet, whether there is a family member or friends that have pet allergies, and whether you want an animal that is a house pet, or if you want a pet that will stay in a cage or outside. Pet types to be considered are dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles and small animals like gerbils and hamsters. The most popular pet types are dogs and cats. In any case, choosing a pet should never be taken lightly. When considering a pet type, safety should be a major factor in that decision making process. A dog or a cat would be a perfect pet for my family. Either could easily fit my family’s life-style. Dogs have always been considered man’s best friend. Cats on the other hand are very playful; they are not demanding, they are affectionate and they can be your best friend too. Family interaction with a pet is very important. Dogs have to be walked daily. Many people love to walk their dog. It gives the owner the opportunity to exercise and enjoy it. Cats do not have to be walked. They are self sustaining. That is great for the very busy owner. Dogs come in different sizes. A dog’s size can range...
