Water is collected and stored in reservoirs for further use. Another example of water management schemes is sanitation systems which are in order for those who do not have access to appropriate sanitation. Overall, the water management scheme is a scheme that ensures that everybody has access to clean water and sanitation. Water is one of the most important natural resources which are essential for ALL living things. Water is used for drinking, washing, cooking and irrigation. There is only 3% of pure water in the world, that we can drink, 2% of that water is stored in icebergs, if the demand for water continues to increase at rapid rates; the access to water will become more difficult. Figure 1 In figure 1, the more successful countries which are MEDC’s and the more urbanised areas such as the USA, Canada Australia, Italy and France show that the more water they use per capita. ...Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said developers selling more than four residential units to a single buyer or group must now obtain prior approval from the Controller of Housing. The new enforcement would be made compulsory in all real-estate advertising and sale permit materials. In order to prevent asset bubbles in Malaysia, a continuous monitoring by the Central Bank of Malaysia (CBM) on the property price trends and the introduction of appropriate measurements, such as the introduction of “My First Home Scheme” on 8 March 2011 will curb the real estate speculation activities and to support, stabilize and sustain the future of Malaysia’s Residential property market (Azhar, 2011). The Malaysia My First Home Scheme (MFHS) or Skim Rumah Pertamaku was introduced in early 2011 by the government with the sole purpose of assisting young adults, who have joined the workforce and earn RM3, 000 per month or less, to own their first home. This scheme allows young adults to obtain 100% financing from financial institutions (100% margin as opposed to the usual 90% offered by most banks), enabling them to own their first house without the need to pay a 10% down payment. Cagamas SRP Berhad will also guarantee the banks on financing above a 90% level, i.e. if a borrower obtains 100% financing, Cagamas SRP will guarantee 10% (thus raising 90% to 100%) of the financing (Eugene, 2013). According to Foo (2014), in July 2013, the central bank reduced the maximum tenure...

...to prison for their roles in a $600 million scheme to defraud customers. From 1992 until 2008, NPS sold prearranged funeral contracts in several states, including Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio. During that time, insurance companies affiliated with NPS issued life insurance policies related to those prearranged funeral contacts. As part of the contracts, the total price for funeral services and merchandise for an individual was agreed upon, and that price would remain constant. Customers entering into prearranged funeral contracts would pay a single sum of money up-front to NPS. NPS represented to individual customers, funeral homes, and state regulators that funds paid by customers under the prearranged funeral contracts would be kept in a secure trust or insurance policy as required under state law. Court documents disclose, however, that NPS made use of funds paid by customers in ways that were inconsistent both with its prior and continuing representations and with the applicable state laws and regulations. Instead, NPS operated as a fraudulent Ponzi-like scheme, where customer funds were neither kept safe in bank trusts or insurance policies but instead were utilized for unauthorized purposes and the personal enrichment of NPS’s officers and others. In turn, new business became the source of funding for funerals that prior customers had previously paid for in advance. Victims of the scheme include individual customers, funeral homes and state insurance guarantee associations...

...old which helped establish his creative side of his life. Roethke also attended the University of Michigan and later attended Harvard. He taught English at some universities but while teaching at the University of Michigan he devolved manic depression which helped fuel his poetic side. In Roethke’s poem “My Papas Waltz” Roethke is remembering his dead father. He is remembering how he and his father would play and rough house when his father would come home. This poem is said to have a dual meaning, but it really depends on the reader’s perspective. The poem was written to show the love Roethke and his father had, he shows it by the imagery, rhyme scheme, similes, metaphors, irony. Roethke’s poem “My papas waltz” has some ambiguity in it towards what it means. The poem is about Roethke remembering his father when he was a child. The poem is meant to be took in a positive way because Roethke’s father was a working man trying to provide for his family, “with a pam caked hard by dirt” shows that his father was a working man (page 583 line 14). The poem can also have a negative meaning to it because of some of the violence taking action in the poem such as “you beat time on my head” (page 583 line 13). The poem depicts some form of child abuse but the poem was not meant to be taken in a violent way. The poet’s intention to writing this poem were positive and loving towards his father. Imagery in this poem is also another important part to helping understand the meaning. The...

...In this assignment I am going to explain my understanding of working practices and strategies that are used to minimise abuse within the health and social care contexts. The caring professions provide some examples of what people thought may have been a good practice of care then but actually is poor or even abusive practice. The main reason why this happens is due to the changes that occurs within working policies. Within my workplace we have different policies that safeguard vulnerable adults, here are some of working practices that I believe help safeguard: • Complaints Policy Effective communication • Record-keeping Policy Risks Assessments • Confidentiality Policy Recruitment procedures • Data Protection Policy Induction • Protection of Vulnerable Adults Policy Training • Whistleblowing Policy Codes of conduct • Care plans – Person Centred Care Reflective practice • Anti – discriminatory / Anti – oppressive practice • Organisations safeguarding policy & procedures Each resident is assessed before arriving at the home, once assessed our nurse manager produces a careplan for that resident. The resident and their family have the right to be involved in developing a meaningful and effective care plan. ...Language lies at the root of that transformation of the environment that we call ‘civilization’. How is language encouraged in the Montessori prepared environment? Language is something that I can’t explain. It is absurd for me. What I know is I am able to speak to communicate what is on my mind to other people, but the process how did it happen I barely remember it. Before I learn about Montessori, I used to think that language is something that comes naturally. I thought it was something ridiculous if children learn how to write and how to read in early age because I was thought that eventually children could done it easily. Well, I guess I was wrong all this time and sure I am taking for granted that I was underestimate how we can speak, read, and writing. Human needs practice to be fluently in speaking, to be understood in reading, and to be able to writing a simple note. In fact, human being learns language from he or she was an infant. An infant is first exposed to language through sounds generated by the environment and languages spoken by the adults surrounding him. As I observe my 9 months old son, he starts babble when he was 6 months old now he is more talkative event tough he can only say baba papa mama or dada. But I always replying what he says in order to make him feel respected, to teach him Bahasa and I don’t want to lose his sensitive period. Language is goes a long way in establishing a people’s identity, somehow showing people’s artistic, economic...
