Nathaniel Branden once said, “The first step toward change is awareness. The second step is acceptance.” The only way towards change is to first be aware of the situation, then with acceptance, change will happen. Our society tends to be more aware and respectful towards the people that are considered responsible and the opposite towards the reckless. This is a problem that continues to grow as our population increase and public opinion grows. I understand that in order to have peace with others and even with yourself, you have to learn how to forgive and be accepting of others and their ways.

This act of considering that the workers of good practices only have a say in the community will only add to the ostracization and fall of the younger brothers. If our society puts all the power for the people that are considered the elites, then of course it would lead to the “lecturing [of] the poor” by the higher, causing imbalance in the system that is already seen in most part of our society (Brooks 2). If they were continually put to shame because of the way they live, would the younger brother even care enough to want to rejoin society, but instead try to join a “bad-boy counterculture” that would gladly take him and make him feel welcome so he know he do belong in the world (Brooks
