I realized how close of a family the staff, and the patients actually were. I am really happy that they accepted me as the person I am, and giving me that oppurtunity to work with them. I was only there for half of the quarter, but I feel like I got to know each and everyone of the patients on a different level. To know that they trust me with what they are telling me made me feel accepted, and happy to go there. My supervisor assigned me to do numerous tasks during my time there. On Tuesday and Wednesday I had to put together different games for the patients, staff, and also for myself to enjoy playing. We played hop scotch outside, checkers, mancala, bingo, and played dominoes. It was hard in the beginning, but my supervisor wanted me to explain how to play, and I didn’t know how to explain myself and make sense. I wasn;t sure I could get through the day, but I did and had a wonderful time. We played hop scotch outside in the backyard. We were in groups of three. My team was Lori, Mari-Ann, and Cheryl we were called “The Power Crew” a name that we had all agreed on, and thought it fit us perfectly. During the activity, I learned how to play as a team player with the other woman. Even when it is a small game, I always want to be on my own winning. I realized that there was no I in TEAM. It wasn’t only me, I had three wonderful woman beside me playing the game. I know they had a wonderful time, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them smile as much as they did in one day. I was happy that, that day was spent with me. Just know, game day was a success. The best part was having them to teach me how to play mancala. I had completely forgotten how to play, and I couldn’t believe it because that was my childhood favorite game. Cheryl, and Mari-Ann guided me throughtout the game until I understood it. Yeah it was easy to catch onto, but
