Using the grade two section of the Practical Aspects of Authentic Assessment Nick Smith is at the beginning stage for reading. Nick has many strengths and weaknesses when it comes to reading. Appendix D has some of the titles of the books Nick has read silently or aloud with me. Most of the books Nick reads have written texts in them and a few illustrations. One of the strengths Nick has was he can choose an appropriate book based on the I PICK chart. Nick reads aloud to me on October 25th and the book he chose to read from his book bin was called “Wild Cats”. Nick enjoyed reading books about animals because that was something he was interested in. The four times Nick has either read aloud or read silently I noticed he sounded out the words

Cyber Security

...2011 Ethical Hacking & Penetration Testing ACC 626: IT Research Paper Emily Chow 20241123 July 1, 2011 I. Introduction Due to the increasing vulnerability to hacking in today’s changing security environment, the protection of an organization’s information security system has become a business imperative . With the access to the Internet by anyone, anywhere and anytime, the Internet’s “ubiquitous presence and global accessibility” can become an organization’s weakness because its security controls can become more easily compromised by internal and external threats. Hence, the purpose of the research paper is to strengthen the awareness of ethical hacking in the Chartered Accountants (CA) profession, also known as penetration testing, by evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the information security system. 2 1 II. What is Ethical Hacking/Penetration Testing? Ethical hacking and penetration testing is a preventative measure which consists of a chain of legitimate tools that identify and exploit a company’s security weaknesses . It uses the same or similar techniques of malicious hackers to attack key vulnerabilities in the company’s security system, which then can be mitigated and closed. In other words, penetration testing can be described as not “tapping the door” , but “breaking through the door” . These tests reveal how easy an organization’s security controls can be penetrated, and to obtain access to its confidential and sensitive information asset by hackers...

Nick Fell, SABMiller’s Marketing Director, explained the logic of the deal: “[Grolsch is] a fantastic brand. It’s North European, it’s a fantastic product, it’s got unimpeachable brewing credentials and authenticity and credibility. And it’s a damn good product. So for anybody interested in developing their premium beer business, this is an absolute peach of a brand to get hold of… we see huge potential for it in our global footprint, particularly in markets like Latin America and Africa where we’ve got a strong route to market but where the premium beer business is still in its infancy.”2 Grolsch had hitherto focused on developed markets, particularly the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and France, in pursuit of its goal of becoming one of the world’s top 10 global beer brands. Groslch was already the world’s 21st largest global brand, measured by international (nondomestic) volume (see Exhibit 1). International volume had grown to account for slightly over onehalf of total volume and, going forward, seemed to offer much more potential. Drinkers often rated Grolsch higher than larger brands, including Heineken, the top global brand as well as...

They are not made around the Cabinet table where they should be, but they are taken on the sofa in Tony Blair’s office. No notes are kept and no one takes the blame when things go wrong. That arrogant style of government must come to an end. I will restore the proper process of government. I want to be Prime Minister of this country not a President (Source: David Cameron, The Times, 5th October 2006) “The Cabinet is the committee at the centre of the British political system. Every Thursday during Parliament, Secretaries of State from all departments as well as other ministers meet in the Cabinet Room in Downing Street to discuss the big issues of the day. The Prime Minister chairs the meeting, selects its members and also recommends their appointment as ministers to the monarch. The present Cabinet has 23 members (21 MPs and two peers). The secretary of the Cabinet is responsible for preparing records of its discussions and decisions”. (Source: From a modern textbook) (a) What...
