A 27 de Agosto de 2013, surge a ZON Optimus resultante do processo de fusão entre duas das maiores empresas de telecomunicações dos país: a ZON Multimédia e a Optimus com o objetivo de fortalecer a sua posição combinada no mercado nacional e reforçar as ambições de crescimento. A 16 de Maio de 2014, resultante deste processo de fusão, dá-se o lançamento da marca NOS que segundo a empresa “foi um passo lógico e essencial para o desenvolvimento de uma estratégia de crescimento ambiciosa, elevando o potencial de obtenção de sinergias”.
