N: I first realized I wanted to be a caregiver when my family and I learned that my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia 5 years ago. My parents hated the thought of her being in a nursing home, I wanted to do everything I could to keep her happy and healthy in her own home. As her dementia progresses and her days are coming to an end, I know in my heart that this is what she would have wanted. She has always been a family- oriented person and although she won’t remember, we have the memories of caring for her and showing her love for a lifetime. I have had the privilege to care for many
