Critically analyze one of the motivation theories discussed in the text. Ensure your response includes the following elements: The theory's principles concerning the relation between work and behavior, the scientific evidence that supports the principles of the theory you chose, and an example of how you can apply this theory to an organizational situation in your work life.

Work motivation theories focus on, other than ability, that some people perform better at their jobs than others. The situation is dependent on which theories will predict other people’s choices of task behavior.
One motivation theory is the hierarchy theory which consists of four tiers with the lowest tier of physiological needs to the highest tier psychological needs. The lower tier includes the physical necessities for surviving, such as water, food, and air. The second tier consists of safety needs, those things that guard us from any harm. This tier includes the need for shelter and security. The third tier composed of love needs, which include the need for affection, love, and associated with others. The fourth tier consists of the esteem needs, which includes self-respect and the respect of other people. Finally, there is self-actualization, which is about reaching important goals in life. The feelings of love is having or developing meaning social relationships at work. I believe a person will have better performance when his or her needs are met in workplace such as if they feel safe at their place of employment than he or she will strive hard to meet company requirements. I also believe this can be applied to my work life because the needs of feeling loved such as having a positive relationship with the supervisor and other employees than they will also increases with esteem needs and show self-respect and trust with other
