Panchito and his family were migrant workers. They picked cotton strawberries and lots of other crops. Panchito´s family was very poor. His family was poor because he lived in a garage with no windows, the walls were eaten by termites, The roof had holes, and the garage had no floor it was solid dirt. Also they could only stay at that garage for the whole strawberry season and the cotton season. After the seasons were over they had to leave. Panchito was just starting school. panchito could not go to school most of the year because of is working. His older brother Roberto could not go to school because he had to work in the fields with is dad. His first day of school was not the best because he speaks more spanish than english.
