The essay, by Paul Logan, epitomizes and exemplifies much of the problem that I see within our current society. Paul shows a total disregard or remorse for his personal abandonment of his education commitment. It is not until he is shamed by former classmates that he discovers the drive, which was likely never there, to continue and complete his educational endeavors. In my humble opinion, Mr. Logan’s mea culpa left me wanting; he demonstrated little ownership of his lackluster performance. While working incredibly hard at avoiding his educational demands, educational resources, and likely parental funding, were consumed without his acknowledgement of his negative impact on other.
