Pedro de Bolduque was a Spanish sculptor that was born in Medina de Rio Seco into a family of painters. Bolduques sculpting influences were: Juan de Juni, Gaspar Becerra and Esteban Jordan. His sculptors were considered as stylistic because he was continuing their work in Medina de Rico Seco. In 1580 he moved to Cuellar and opened his own workshop. Then he married a woman by the name of Ana Velazquez and they had two children together. While in Cuellar, he formed a close and professional relationship with a family that worked in Segovia and in Valladolid. The families name was the Maldonado Family. Pedro returned to Medina de Rio Seco in 1595 where he died. After he died his family continued his sculpting business.
