Extinction, has been, and is a problem, hopefully we all know and understand that. I would love for it to not be an issue anymore. Sadly, some arrogant people cannot even begin to comprehend that species are DYING, ad they are sitting pretty in their corporate office, with their assistant being their slave. We all know about one major reason of why species are going extinct, humans building their houses on the homes of some animals. For example, the Piping Plover. The Piping Plover is a bird that nests in the Michigan coastline, The Canadian Great Plains, and the Atlantic Coastal Beaches. Due to the rising housing market, and the demand for beach houses, the Piping Plover’s population had decreased to only 30 mating pairs in Michigan. Only 1,398 in Canada, and 1,372 in Newfoundland. These wonderful creatures wouldn’t have ever been put on the endangered species list, if we hadn’t come into the beaches wanting to build more houses, because someone just “had” to have their perfect beach house. Think about it, if that beach house had never been built, you and you family could have otherwise chosen to go and see the wonderful protected land, and is now a protected wildlife reserve. Only, you had to buy that beach house, raising the demand for them, so the building company would buy more land, and build yet again another house. How often do you think some people live in these houses anyway? A month? A week? A year? On average 2/3 of all vacation homes on the Michigan shoreline are vacant. If you are going to pay thousands upon thousands of dollars to build a house, that you will only stay in for a month, why do it? What is that worth to you?
