A victim is someone who is harmed by another and a villain is someone who did something wrong and someone whose actions harmed another. Philip Molloy, The main character from the Edward Irving Wortis documentary novel, “Nothing But The Truth”, decides to not tell the whole truth and led to ruining both his teachers career and his dream to become an olympic track star. Phillip harmed both miss Narwin dream to become an olympic track star. Therefor he is a villain.
Philip Molloy decides to not tell the whole truth and ruins a teachers career. He lied to the news and said he got suspended for singing the national anthem. He said he was singing patriotically, but really he was humming disrespectfully. For instance, in Edward Irving Wortis documentary novel, “Nothing But The Truth”, it says “ well i like to, you know, sing along. But,see, she kicked me out. For singing it”. Also he said “they suspended me”. Philip Molloy did not tell the whole truth. He lied to the news reporter about what happened and then the interview was published in an article. On top of that, the article went national and forced the teacher to quit. He was not singing the national anthem patriotically, he was humming disrespectfully to get out…show more content… He was not sitting quietly and was not being respectful during the national anthem in which a rule of being respectful during the national anthem was broken. For example, on page 52 of Edward Irving Wortis’s documentary novel, it says, “ This is a memo from dr. doane. Look, see what it says. Go on, read it. what does it say? Silent. Okay? you hear it everyday. Right? no, let me finish. miss narwin asked you to stop.you didn't. you continued to sing. you were disobedient. so she asked you to leave. The memo from dr. doan says to be silent. phillip hears it everyday. He broke a rule. he did something wrong. that is why he is a villain. Phillip broke the rules more than once in a week, refused to apologize, and got
