HELLO FRIENDS MY NAME IS PUKIT JAIN REPRSENTATING THE FINANCE STREAM IN SPJAIN AS YOU KNOW TODAY IS A NERVOUS DAY FOR US AS WE ARE RUNNING FOR THE PLACEMENT COMMITTEE. TODAY I AM HERE TO PRESENT A SMALL BRIEF OF MY PROFILE
Before answering the obvious question why you should choose me as a member of placement committee let’s look at what does being on placement committee involve –“the role of placecomm is to place the right person at the right position”
TO BEGIN WITH LET’S SEE A SMALL VIDEO THAT I HAVE MADE FOR YOU GUYS. THIS VIDEO REPRESENTS THE JOURNEY THAT ALL OF US WILL UNDERGO Slide (3) CHOOSING THE RIGHT COMPANY, RIGHT JOB PROFILE, COUNSELLING THE STUDENTS, HELPING THE ANXIETY AND FEAR OF THE STUDENTS.
Slide (4) who is the right person?
This is has to be judged not only by his academic records but more importantly based on his personality and emotional quotient.
A person who is with students 24x7 and who is extrovert and keen to know about them more deeply can be qualified for this committee as he can quickly categorize the students into their expected roles based on his findings.
Slide (5) which is the right company?
This is the hard part which would require digging deep into the profiles of the companies, their mission, vision and value. What do we have here that would interest them, get clarity on the kind of roles they are looking for and what are the growth vectors of the students we have here in those companies
Slide (6) How to create the right platform?
It’s the perfect blending of the both. To state an analogy it’s kind of matchmaking service. Calling up and speaking to HR’s of the specified companies and convincing them of how good we are. Negotiating for attractive salaries for the roles they are offering and projecting the candidate for them. Supporting the students and helping them to face interviews expecptinonally well. Coordinating with faculty which meets expectation of both. Finally helping with paperwork and smooth transaction
Slide (7) why me?
While working as a financial consultant and analyst for no. of clients I have learnt to design and deliver customized investment solutions to my clients based not only on their needs but also based in their personality and handling skills. I have now learnt that a job is only good as the person holding it. While working in corporate sector I also believed in the philosophy in giving back to societies for which I joined 2 NGO’s “goonj” and “kabir peace mission”. One of our task I did for NGO was to help the women in the mental hospital in Agra by providing them with blankets, clothes books etc.
