America is known as the country of the free. But, it was not always this way and freedom was not born until the Civil Rights Act was signed. The person who fulfilled this idea of the Civil Rights Bill was President John F. Kennedy, who was later assassinated and could not complete his task. However, Vice President Lyndon Baines Johnson stepped in and later became president.
