For about three months now I've been having poor Internet service quality I've been paying for 12 Mbps and have only ever experienced about 3 Mbps so I decided to call after the first week and I was told there was weather conditions that affected my area that the issue would get resolved promptly after about a month I was still experiencing poor connection quality so I called after about an hour on the phone I was told a technician would come out the next day to test my connection. On arrival the technician was in my opinion in a bad mood very few words not talkative very vague in answering questions all she did was replace the tower and said that should resolve the issue made me sign paper work saying she was there and drove off. To my surprise my issue was not fixed after the same technician came out two more times to do the same thing just replace the tower and be eager to leave I decided to call and basically clarify that I refused to pay my bill until the issue was resolved since I have had little to no service for three months the representative on the phone was really rude and certainly not professional accessing the account first and then asking security questions. He stated that I am obligated to pay my bill or service will be discontinued I argued my case and still couldn't make him understand after about 45 minutes I just said thank you and hung up the phone. I then proceeded to look online for other people with similar issues and I found out that every service provider carries a department called a retention department which strives to keep you as a customer and so in a matter of 15 minutes my attitude towards the company changed having gone from rude and unprofessional to a service rep who was very kind and courteous and stayed on the phone until the whole issue was resolved I got my balance of zero dollars and was given a credit of 100 dollars toward my account it was so surprising how much attitude changes from department to department needless to say I believe issues like these can avoided by contacting the correct department.

A while back my truck was in need of an oil change and not being familiar with this town I decide to just pull into a shop and it actually became a blessing in disguise. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me and asked how we may serve you today. I asked for an oil change and he said sure let’s put it on the lift and get you taken care of. So he asked me to take a seat in the lobby and offered some magazines. After a little while he comes in and says miss your in really bad need of a tie rod end I would strongly suggest it get replaced immediately he walked out to the truck and showed me what was wrong and then kindly escorted me back to the lobby were he pull up an wrote an estimate for me when I saw the price I said unfortunately I don't get paid till Friday so I cannot afford this. Nothing that they had a sign that read absolutely no credit is available money is due before pick up. He then proceeded to say miss if you can pay me Friday I will gladly change it for you because it's a dangerous hazard and even though we do not offer credit I can't let you drive off like this. I was completely astonished by the courtesy of a complete stranger it was generous it was professional because he could have just done an oil change and let me be on my way but it was obvious that this man was proud of his job and his work and he expressed the safety of the customer it made me feel special and overwhelmed and so he proceeded to do the work and a while later I was on my way and sure enough Friday morning I returned to pay him with a thank you card a gift card for lunch and he accepted the card but not the gift card he said it is all part of his job and that his concern was his customers safety. He thanked and politely walked me to the door and said if you ever need any more repairs please stop by thank you have a nice day! There isn't many people that go the extra mile to excel in professionalism but in my opinion they exceed that and more I always thought a shop was a dirty oily place but there's was nice clean employees washed there hands before sitting in your vehicle they were kind and courteous and definitely went the extra mile.

The other night me and my spouse went on a dinner date together and we were totally blown away by the restaurants professionalism. We were happily greeted at the door walked all the way to our booth and were seated kindly. Didn't take but a few seconds when our waiter was taking our drinks orders and issuing out menus. The waiter was very kind and courteous was certainly dressed the part with collared shirt neatly and nicely tucked in. I also noticed one very important detail she was very professional about serving us with not interrupting a conversation using words like excuse me, pardon me would you like a refill and was certainly there for anything we needed even offered other amenities that we needed that we completely spaced out. Our food was delivered promptly and very well made she was also kind enough to stay and wait for us to taste our food and make sure is was prepared to our liking. I was exceptionally blown away by her ability to provide the same courtesy to everyone she was waiting, it just created an environment that made the evening so much better. I will most certainly recommend this establishment to all my family and friends and remind them to tip her well for she exceed all expectations and was more professional than anything we expected.

One day I went in to my bank and requested a withdrawal the manager behind the counter stated that the amount was too much for them to give me in cash despite the fact that I had more than sufficient funds so I withdrew the most amount of cash that they could accommodate me with and so I proceeded to return the next day to withdraw the rest of the cash that I needed after the teller game me the cash I proceeded to sit with a banker to order new debit cards as I was in the middle of talking to her the manager from the previous day so rudely interrupted us to say (I told you that we cannot accommodate you with that much cash you have to take a cashiers check please do not return for 7 days as we can only allow you to have certain amount of money in a 7 day period.) I responded with excuse me but we are in the middle of a conversation and she replied (I don't care I already told you not to come back and walked away) aside from the obvious insult I felt embarrassed as the banker even didn't know what to say. Several days later I was in need of money and so I returned to my bank to withdraw money before I reached the teller the manager was already standing there waiting to see what teller I was going to be assisted by as soon as I walked up to my teller the manager ran to her and said do NOT give this woman any cash any dollar amount will be a cashiers check and so I was denied the funds in my account she then preceded to ask if I had any other bills that were going to post and what they were so that we can close out my account I replied with I'm not ready to close my account and she said I don't care this bank has the right to deny service to anyone and we are denying you service today I didn't have time to stay and was not looking to argue so I just walked out of the bank. It is obvious that I no longer bank with them. And in summarizing her professionalism I thought she more than lacked every skill to be a manager being rude enough to interrupt a conversation and use a high toned voice to let the other customers hear. Failing to act the role of a manager to insure she met me at the window I was to be serviced. Lack of knowledge of the place she worked because I called every other branch in a 500 mile radius and they stated that it was there banks legal obligation to provide you with any dollar amount so long as the funds were in your account. What can I say about the experience I hope that no one ever has to deal with a manager like that!

Professionalism in the retail industry.
For the most part retail businesses strive to accomplish a professional appearance however it varies from store to store places like Walmart have a greeter at the door and the cashiers are polite to help you check out but if you need help in certain departments they still don't lack professionalism however dude to only having one employee in each department for the most part there not able to successfully provide the ideal professionalism to each customer because they lose track of who was there first...other stores who specialize in certain products are more able to present themselves more professionally with greeting catering and even helping you threw your entire shopping experience. All in all I noticed exceptional service for those who work off of commission they exceed in professionalism from greeting to completing to making you feel important.

My over-all rating in the Professional Development Assessment was 109 points out of 120. I believe the rating I got was reasonable and just since I pondered over the possibilities of each component.
