The World Wide Web is an information system on the Internet which allows documents to be connected to other documents by hypertext links, enabling the user to search for information by moving from one document to another. There are many examples of why the world wide web is a positive for us, for example Availability of mainly free information, Low cost of initial connection, Reduces the costs of divulgation, The same protocol of communication can be used for all the services, Facilitates rapid interactive communication, Facilitates the exchange of huge volumes of data, Facilitates the establishment of professional contact, No barriers to divulgation. But with advantages there come disadvantages such as Danger of overload and excess information, it requires an efficient information search strategy, The search can be slow, It is difficult to filter and prioritize information, No guarantee of finding what one is looking for, There is a lot of apparently unconnected information, Net becomes overloaded because of large number of users, No quality control over available data, The ease with which information can be constantly up-dated.

There are an amazing amount of benefits that come along with the World Wide Web. Not only are you able to access information from, you can also makes friends from across the globe. You can access any data at any location as long as it's on a server using the World Wide Web. That benefit highly benefits school systems and stuff such as that. There is also the benefit of communication. Before e-mail there was letters and letters took forever to reach someone. Now you can simply go on the web and type out the e-mail and send and it's normally instantly in the persons e-mail's inbox.

Another advantage of the World Wide Web is easier access to access information and forms of entertainment

Raid Structures

...RELIABILITY and PERFORMANCE Through RAID Structures Casundra Gilder Southern New Hampshire University July 18, 2013 Abstract Redundant Arrays of Independent Disks (RAIDs) are used to address performance and reliability of disks. RAIDs are just a large number of inexpensive disks that can be linked together to create one single large storage space that offers better performance, reliability and storage capacity for older systems. RAIDs have become more popular over the years and increasing common with end user systems. There are many levels of RAIDs that are in existence today. With the creation of RAIDs, more computer systems have become better as far as increased performance and redundancy. Redundancy is one of the most important factors when it comes to developing RAIDs for server environments. When a drive fails on a system, a user can either change the old drive for a new one without having to power down the system or a RAID could be used. All redundancy methods depend on the version of RAID used. Performance of a system will depend on the number of drives used in the array and the controllers and increased performance can only be located when specific versions of RAIDs are used. There is a limit to the rate at which data can be read from or written to a hard disk platter. By implementing a RAID, a single disk will have increased performance when it comes to reading and writing to multiple disks at the same time. RAIDs handle hard disk drive failures...

In this paper, I will tell you how to integrate instruction technology into your classroom, give the pros and cons in using technology to facilitate learning and the difference between wired and wireless classrooms. The right technology has the ability to grab and hold the attention of children at any age. There are several ways to integrate instructional technology into the classroom. One way to integrate technology in the lesson is by using the SMARTBOARD. The SMARTBOARD gives a teacher access to the internet with a wide range of text, graphics, audios, videos and animation (p.242). It is also a tool that students can interact with. The SMARTBOARD has taken the 21st classroom to a whole new level. In the past and probably still present in some places today, the chalk board or dry erase boards are still being used. The smell from the markers is not good for all students and the chalkboards are very messy. The SMARTBOARDS are clean and there are no strong smells. The only down side to a SMARTBOARD is that the teacher will have to spend a lot of time surfing the web to get the right material for their students to see. Another way to integrate technology into the classroom is to have the students complete a project on the computer. Students could create historical timelines, charts about famous people, research paper...

Because of social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter virtual worlds can accommodate businesses in the real world. Customer relationships in a virtual world are a delicate matter. The design of a web site is very important for presenting a favorable face to the customer. Similarly, the design of a business in SL is of chief importance. In a world where anything-goes design-wise, how do you want your customer service representatives to appear? The business must present something fantastic, that it could not present in the real world, if it wants to draw visitors into it. Second Life provides a medium for simulating real world interactions online. It has the same benefits as teleconferencing or videoconferences, the ability to assemble many people from all around the world into real-time interactions. NPR’s Science Friday makes great use of this tool, hosting a studio audience in SL that they couldn’t otherwise support. Public speakers also benefit. I once attended a talk by a favorite science fiction author who would not have attracted enough of an audience in any one local, but SL was perfect for finding enough interest from around the globe to come up with a great turn out. Being a virtual world, Second Life is much less about providing the visitor...

Although GMOs were only introduced in 1996, the side effects can already be seen: there have been increased allergic reactions, antibiotic resistant bacteria and other toxic hazards. While these side effects of GMOs may seem minuscule in the grand scheme of things, the lasting effects can be much more drastic. More and more children are having life-threatening allergies, which can be contributed to increased GMO intake.
