Charles and I sat down two weeks ago to discuss what content and how to present this information to another student or other personnel. First, we tackled the required content for this packet such as the list of requirements from the hospital student placement office/HR department which is actually handled by Melvin Snead the Manager of the Radiology department. It was determined that the incoming student will only need his immunization record upon entry to THR Kaufman. As far as parking information and directions I had already printed this information off of the THR website along with a map of the hospital. In a previous discussion I informed Melvin and Charles that I would be interviewing them for a biographical page in the packet. At this time, I asked if I could also include the door codes for the incoming student and Melvin rejected that information being shared before the student actually started in the department. Charles suggested including the THR mission statement and I agreed that would be a good idea so the student would understand the mentality that THR personnel should be coming from??? I spoke with Charles about including technic charts and operation instructions for the General Electric MST-625II in Room 3, Charles agreed and thought it would help the new student acclimate to the older machine since that room is the primary room used due to the ability of the table to be lower so close to the floor which is better for patient with disabilities, patient transfer and care.
