Compare and contrast the information you found for each agency, and then answer the following questions in 200 to 300 words:
• What needs do each agency meet and what demographic does each agency serve? What or who may have influenced the agency’s decision to meet the needs of this demographic group?
Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselors: Substance abuse and behavioral disorder counselors advise people who have alcoholism or other types of addiction, eating disorders, or other behavioral problems. They provide treatment and support to help the client recover from addiction or modify problem behaviors.(Bureau.2012) the demographic of this human service is more but not always for some for the more populated areas the metropolitan areas. This field helps people of all ages, with many different types of issues that need to be serviced. Social Workers: There are two main types of social workers: direct-service social workers, who help people, solve and cope with problems in their everyday lives, and clinical social workers, who diagnose and treat mental, behavioral, and emotional issues. (Bureau.2012) this field service a wide array of people and the issue in which they have as well as servicing nationwide. I feel that Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselors fields are influenced by the judicial system then anything forcing people to deal with their problem as a last resort or as an alternative to jail, having their kid’s taken away, whereas the medical field is the influency on the social workers to help those to staying out of trouble or getting their lives back together, become aware of what wrong with them and fixing long overdue issues and how the cope with those problem.

• What differences have you observed between the ways the two agencies attempt to meet human needs? The differences that have observed between the ways the two agencies in attempts to meet human needs are the following, with the two types of social workers they work alone in different fields one having to help people solve and cope with their everyday lives giving them a chance to regain a normal more stable life style for the person as a whole and the family that may be involved, this type of work is geared towards not just making life more functional but also from allowing the issue to get worse or fester in to something worse. Whereas the other type of social work with people with mental, behavioral, and emotional by helping them to diagnose the problems thus leading towards a more stable life, a comer life, but mostly giving unanswered question about why and how a person is that way but also the means to resolving the those issues.. Now Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselors work with people with problems that revolve around addiction, behavioral problem and eating disorders. This field gives a person an ear of how those things started but also a way to control and take back the life they once have before hand and maintain that life.

• How successful is each agency in meeting the needs of its demographic group? What challenges may be preventing the agencies from meeting certain needs?
In the success in meeting the demographic needs of the groups that these agencies strive to take care of all come across the same thing in a sense and that is the lack of funding whether it is the state, government, or lack of man power. In reading about the Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselors they have a tough road to lead, they have to not only be patient be understanding and forgiving at times, many of the issues dealt in this field are ones that have to be met on two fronts that of the counselors and the will of the participant so the success rate may be low be slowly raising to meet the needs of its demographic. The social works of this country have to play a vital role in stabilizing the many people out there that have issue both in their daily lives but also problems that fall into mental, behavioral, or emotional. The two types of workers tend to work hand in hand in a sense one diagnosing the problems and the other containing , and teaching those to continue building coping and resolve to life a fuller life. Because they work together they have a higher outlook for their demographic be an over whelming one for this field has a large mass of people whom need help. For both agencies they both face the daily grind of trying to keep up and remain driven to continue their fight for the better of the human population and their lives ,best said in Chapter1 human services in the united states today “One of the frustrating features of the large bureaucracy is the difficulty a worker may experience in feeling that he or she makes a difference. Each person may feel like a small cog in a big machine. Despite the shortcomings of these kinds of organizations, they have adapted and survived. No one has developed a more efficient means of providing services on a large scale”.(ch1, pg. 14).
