...The Role of Computers in Life. The computer is one of the most brilliant gifts of science. This device was originally developed by Charles Babbage. Most countries have developed fast due to computerization. Writing a program is essential for a computer. Speed, accuracy, reliability, and integrity are the main characteristics of a computer. Many of the routine activities today at home and in business are done by computers. The computer has proved a friend and servant of science, technology and industry. Most offices, shops, factories and industries use computers. The Internet is a storehouse of information. The computer is a boon to all. Telecommunication and satellite imageries are computer based. Computers have made the world a global village today. The computer is one of the most brilliant gifts of science. It is an electronic device for storing and analyzing information fed into it, for calculating, or for controlling machinery automatically. Charles Babbage developed this device first in 1812 followed by George Boole in 1854, Howard and Aitten in 1937, Dr. John Nouchly and J. P. Eckert in 1946. These computers were named the first generation equipment. Today, wit the 'Artificial Intelligence' technology, we are using fifth generation computers. Each new generation of computers has been smaller, lighter, speedier and more powerful than the earlier ones. Now note-book sized computers like laptop are fairly common. Computers have been dominating technology since 1970s, and...

...CHAPTER ONE 1.0 INRODUCTION 1.1 Background of the case study Small and Medium businesses (SMBs) have played great roles in the development of various economies of the world. They are recognized and acknowledged worldwide as vital and significant contributors to economic development, job creation, and the general health and welfare of economies, both nationally and internationally. Over the years there have been many attempts at defining what constitutes SMBs. Researchers and policy makers, looking for an objective definition of SMBs, have used a variety of criteria including total assets, total employees and net worth (Cochran, 1981). There have been various definitions given to small and medium businesses in Ghana but the most commonly used criterion is the number of employees of the enterprise. In defining small and medium businesses in Ghana (Osei et al 1993) classified SMBs into three categories. There are micro-employing less than 6 people, medium-employing 6-9 people and small businesses-between 10 and 29 employees. In terms of activities they are mostly engaged in retailing, trading or manufacturing and education. In Ghana SMBs have been noted as the engine of growth by the National board for small scale industries through the provision of employment and income. They represent about 92% of Ghanaian business and contribute about 70% to Ghana’s GDP and over 80% to employment (Ghana statistical service 1998). Information is needed and distributed every day in businesses...

...Eliminating the Heartless was not the only thing the Keyblade could do, it could open the gate to different galaxies. With this, Sora set on this wild adventure to find his friends. Kingdom Hearts is a video game that is classified under the genre of an action RPG. RPG is an acronym that stands for role playing game. A traditional role playing game includes a menu based combat system, a central quest or storyline that flows through the game, and levels or character statistics that a character can gain and build up throughout the game. An action game, however, usually consists of a real time battle combat system. Kingdom Hearts accurately combines the two genres into its game style. Unlike most role playing games that have a menu to choose certain attacks from, Kingdom Hearts is a button masher that can issue attacks with the different buttons on the controller which makes it better at interacting with the player than other role playing games. To make up for the missing menu, Kingdom Hearts has a unique selection menu to use the various items and spells the player unlocks during the game. The menu is easy to navigate through with the arrows on the controller. A key part of a role playing game is the central quest or in other terms, the story line of the game. Kingdom...

...The Role of Computers in Our Future As far as computers in the future, I feel that they are going to play a major role. They will be in everyday life, in everything we do. There will be many areas affected by the wide use of computers. Areas such as: home, work, schools, automobiles, electronics, and humans. Although these areas are already affected, they will be even more as we move into the future. To begin this discussion I will show you the effects on the work place and humans. As for humans in the work place, work will become easier. So this means less stress for humans because the computers will be doing all the work. This in turn means that humans will be doing less and less because the computers will be slowly taking over. As for a human going to work, this may only consist of telling a computer what to do all day. Or even from your own home, waking up and telling your computer what to do so you do not even have to go into work. Now for communication with computers, this may get so advanced that your computer may even ask you questions about the work it is doing and that you are getting paid to do. So this is where I see computers going as far as work and humans. Now for computers in the schools, I feel we will soon have no books and all work will be done on computers. Even homework will be done on the internet and e-mailed to the teacher. Children will be taught about computers at a younger and younger age. This in turn will make the younger generations...

...Federation Server, Federation Proxy server, and ADFS Web Agents. A federation server is the main AD FS component, which holds the Federation Service role. These servers route authentication requests between connected directories. A federation proxy server acts as a reverse proxy for AD FS authentication requests. This type of server normally resides in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of a firewall, and is used to protect the back-end AD FS server from direct exposure to the untrusted Internet. The Web Agents component of AD FS hosts the claims-aware agent and the Windows token-based agent components that manage authentication cookies sent to web server applications. The Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services server role is a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol directory service. It provides data storage and retrieval for directory-enabled applications, without the dependencies that are required for Active Directory Domain Services. Active Directory Certificate Services provides customizable services for issuing and managing public key infrastructure (PKI) certificates used in software security systems that employ public key technologies. The digital certificates that AD CS provides can be used to encrypt and digitally sign electronic documents and messages. These digital certificates can be used for authentication of computer, user, or device accounts on a network. Digital certificates are used to provide: Confidentiality through encryption, Integrity through digital...
