Transportation

...As everyone knows, gas prices seem to be going up and down every week now a day. Gas prices also vary from gas station to gas station which causes us to look for the gas station with the lowest prices. The question is: Is it really worth driving around to the gas station with the lowest price per gallon? Like most I am a working student who does not have time to find other means of transportation other than my car because I can not be late to school and I most definitely can not be late to work. Having a vehicle for transportation is becoming more expensive as the days go by. No one can ever expect to know what the gas prices will be like tomorrow. One day they go way up high to about $2.64 per gallon and the next day they are back down to about $2.41, of course that's just an estimation of what I have seen. It is very frustrating since the price is always changing managing money becomes a little more complicated because you never know what to expect. Everyone thinks that because gas is about $0.03 cents less at the gas station down the street that they are going to save a lot more money. For example, I live in the northeast side of town, and sometimes I drive to the east side to do run errands, gas always seems to be lower on the east side of town. It is not too much lower approximately $0.06 cents my argument though is that of course it is not worth trying to find the gas station with the lowest price because it wastes time, along the way after pumping gas...

What If I Believe Kindness Is a Coupon

...ourselves at that checkout line as if we are playing a game of..., I am going to save more moo-la, also know as money, than I thought this week and I will have more funds in my pocket for this weekends fun! However, what if we looked at kindness as a coupon? I believe that we look at our lives day-to-day, more and more as if we are expecting someone to be nice to us. Not giving it a second clipping about what change we are saving by being kind to one another. Saving $1.00 in our bank of kindness, for that rainy day of, "I hate my life"....; also known as kindness, should be something we all think about . I mean, would it even take as long as scanning our eyes over the Sunday paper, looking online for coupon codes, or looking for those red clearance stickers? I believe we should take our kindness and think of it more as a savings in our coupon bank for a remarkable hoping for a $1.00 saved in the Universe of life. If I would consider it a savings of money, could I not think of it as a deposit on my own debts of unkindness? Does life and kindness not go hand in hand? Should I not recall the old saying "being kindness is goodness"..., if my parents didn't teach me after all someone had to teach me how to save a buck myself. I believe that looking into the eyes of a stranger. Being kind and pushing for nice, or making kind with an old foe isn't that bad. I mean, after all their goes another coupon you can save on Tracey. Keep my friends close and my enemies closure. Sadly, that is the...

Quantitative Analysis Case

...Syneri Castings Case Solution Submitted To: Mushtaque Ahmed Associate Professor Institute of Business Administration University of Dhaka. Submitted By: Sourodip Paul Roll No: ZR-17 Batch: BBA 23rd Institute of Business Administration University of Dhaka. Solution to the Questions: 1. How much time would the new layout save? Solution: For us to ascertain how much time the new layout would save, we should compare the current system must to the new system. The amount of time that an employee spends traveling to the maintenance department summed with the time he spends in the system being serviced and waiting for service presently, compared to the respective values under the proposed system, will give the savings in time. Under the present system, * There are 2 service channels with a single line (M = 2). * Number of arrivals per hour is 7( = 7). * Number of employees that can be serviced in an hour by each channel is 5 ( = 5). * From the table, PO= 0.1765 The average time that a person spends in the system is: = 0.3922 hours = 23.532 minutes Hence, the average time a person spends in the system under the present system is 0.3922 hours, or 23.532 minutes. Adding the system time to the travel times involved (6 minutes total for casting personnel and 2 minutes for molding personnel), the total trip takes: For casting: (23.532 + 6) = 29.532...

Shared Humanity

...Bethany Fuller Mrs. Drake Period 6 Oct. 7, 2012 Shared Humanity A lot of literature relates to common experiences and even to each other whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and even movies. Common experiences are separated into categories like loss, rites of passage, survival, self-sacrifice, and beliefs. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and film often show common experiences in self-sacrifice to people of all ages and places. The fiction short story Through The Tunnel, by Doris Lessing, has a great example of self-sacrifice. Jerry is an 11 year old little boy, him and his mother are vacationing and he spends most of his time on the big kid side of the bay. Of course him being 11 and hanging around the bigger kids can make people do some silly things. Long story short, Jerry risked getting hurt swimming through a small, rocky tunnel to make the bigger kids like him. This relates to self-sacrifice and common experiences because many people sacrifice losing themselves to fit in with another group that may not be worth it in the end anyway. In the end the older boys’ attention didn’t even matter to Jerry, he felt like he didn’t need them anymore, he gained more confidence. Raven, from the fiction novel Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber, is dating a vampire named Alexander. He leaves Raven to keep her from getting harmed by other vampires, but she risks her life to search for Alex anyway. Ravens self-sacrifice was to be with the person she loved no matter...

...Error Message: Deficit of SL Unrestricted-use 2 EA: 21GP84 004 0001 Issue: Queue failed because the stock levels on ECC and EWM are not in sync. In this case the available stock is less by 2 EA of product 21GP84. Reason: There are multiple reasons to have the above error triggered. But the main cause of this error is having the stock levels out of sync in both EWM and ECC systems. Root Cause: There are multiple reasons to have the systems (EWM and ECC) out of sync and queues to fail with Deficit of stock issue, some of them are listed below, 1. When someone manually posts inventory by using the inventory sync program /SCWM/ERP_STOCKCHECK, without checking if there are any open Queues or other process updates. 2. When someone used mass posting transaction /SCWM/POST to change the stock status from available to block or blocked to available, queues are failing if any of the product is out of sync in the system, then it will stop the posting change for all the products in the mass list. 3. If the queue for goods movement EWMMEWMGOODSMVT* is not monitored properly, for all the material movements in EWM system will trigger only on queue name with multiple LUWs and if any of the LUW movement is stuck for any reason, then other LUW’s will get piled up and waiting for the first one to clear. Spreadsheets

...very useful for a teacher when it comes to neatly organising a spreadsheet with many tables of class’s results. By defining a range means that tables are easy to input into formulae, and will help reduce errors. AutoSum is very beneficial to a teacher because it simply adds up an entire column without having to add each cell individually. This saves a lot of time, and helps reduce errors, especially if there is lots of students’ data. Weaknesses: Macros are not included in the spreadsheet, which would’ve been very useful for a teacher. Macros stop repetitive tasks being completed over and over again. This is useful as it saves a lot of time to the teacher, e.g. if they click a customised button which filters data or changes sheets. This will also improve the usability of the spreadsheet and make the data input easier. Goal seek, which also isn’t included in the spreadsheet, would also be very beneficial for a teacher. Goal seek is where a cell total changes in order to reach a possible result, and this would be vital if a teacher needs to see how many more points a student would need to reach their target grade. This will help save time as it helps draw faster conclusions, it’ll reduce errors as there is lots of students’ data, and helps get the best solution....
