...Todd Unit 2 Sc300 I believe there is a common reason for the absences, this being that the two schools were together two times for band camp. Schools Jackson and Truman both have a band camp and according to the attendance data the two schools showed a spike of absent students on May 20 and the 21st. The students were together on the 15th for planning for the battle of the bands and then again on the 19th for the actual battle. After reviewing the interviews conducted by the heath worker it was brought to my attention that majority of the students were suffering from stomach related illnesses on the 20th and the 21st. The health worker also stated in one of the interviews that it generally takes 3-5 days for symptoms to show up after being exposed to the flu. Also that symptoms of food poisioning usually appears in the next day or two days after eating the contaminated food. So my questions would be: What did the students eat? Where did they eat together? What date did they attend the restaurant? What is the source of the stomach related illness? I would visit the various restaurants in question and take food samples. Also I would have the students examined by a doctor. I would also investigate the activities that took place (eating) during the planning and the battle of the bands. And lastly survey other people (not students) who ate at the restaurants in question to see whether they also became ill. As to the...
