Scott Russel Sanders used the strategies allusion, rhetorical question, and analogy to develop his prospective about moving and how he thought it affected migrants.
Throughout the paper Sanders would quote Salman Rushdie and then refute what Rushdie had said. He did this most heavily using allusion. Rushdie made a statement about how being a migrant made you the freest of people, and how they had to make new relationships. That is when Sanders started referencing how the Spaniards had brought along their religion, economies, and politics to the new world.
