...Self Reflective Essay Derek Alan Barbara ENG115Self-Assessment Reflection Derek Alan Barbara For the informative essay, I chose to do a web style prewriting strategy which was mainly effective at getting my ideas out while organizing them at the same time. I learned from this strategy that I can organize and have plenty of ideas come at the same time. The Purpose of my essay was to inform the reader on how to take a shower. From the getting ready part, through the actual shower and on to the after shower activities. I looked for content and organization in the essays read in class. I learned that other authors had really interesting stands on a variety of subjects. I learned that I needed to spend more time organizing and structuring my paper towards the end. I decided to revise my essay by proofreading it myself and making corrections throughout. I took time apart from the essay in order to gather my thoughts and be able to look at it with fresh eyes. This method was especially helpful because it allowed me to organize the way I wanted and decide what should be taken out and left in. I believe the strongest part of my essay was the amount of detail I used in describing how to prepare, take and things to do after utilizing a shower. I ran into some problems with getting off topic but I tried to cope with it by reminding myself of the main point and taking small breaks in between writing. This proved to be very useful and allowed me to stay on topic and organize...

...Plan Self Assessments are quizzes that help evaluate employees on their skills, interests, personality, and values. “As ethical problems have increased in organizations, integrity tests have gained popularity. These paper-and-pencil tests measure factors such as dependability, carefulness, responsibility, and honesty; they have proven to be powerful predictors of supervisory ratings of job performance and of theft, discipline problems, and excessive absenteeism” (Robbins & Judge, 2011, pg. 1). As a manager for Riordan Manufacturing, three employees took a series of self-assessment tests for my organization. The analysis and interpretation scores of all three are positive and all three would make a great contribution to the organization. Positive people cognitively process more efficiently and are more productive. Job Satisfaction and Engaged High job satisfaction was above the range that determines lower levels of absenteeism, and their general attitude toward work is positive. Their engaged scores were also high, which defines these employees are in a positive state of motivation and fulfillment. “Individuals who score high in this category are loyal, dedicated, willing to devote considerable time to work, feel inspired by and proud of their work, and become immersed and absorbed while performing their work” (Stephen P. Robbins/University of Phoenix, 2005-2009). My employees are content coming to work and will possess good work ethics and values. They are self motivated...

...1.1 Analyse how types of assessment are used in lifelong learning Assessments should be a regular process; it might not always be formalised, but you should be observing what your students are doing, asking questions and reviewing their progress throughout their time with you (Gravells 2012). It Is a way of finding out if learning has taken place .It enables to ascertain whether the student has gained the required skills, knowledge and attitudes needed at a given point towards their programme of learning. Assessment is not another term for evaluation: assessment is of the students whereas evaluation is of the program. Assessment is specific towards student’s achievements and how they can improve. Assessment are internally or externally set. Assessment types There are three types of assessment used in lifelong learning sector depending upon the subject and the requirements. In this report, I intend to review a variety of theories relative to organizational behaviour by considering each in relation to my own experiences as a mid-level manager. This reflection will focus primarily on three themes including personality, working in groups, and leadership. Throughout this report, I will consider my own personal strengths and weaknesses, attempting to determine how each affected situational outcomes. Many of these strengths and weaknesses were highlighted through a series of self-assessment exercises completed as part of the "Prentice Hall Self-Assessment Library" (Robbins and Judge, 2007), the results of which will be regularly referred to in this report. In closing, I will summarize areas requiring continued personal effort in order to ensure ongoing development and both personal and professional growth.
