Cloud Computing and How it is Changing Modern Business
Cloud Computing is rapidly becoming more popular in business and casual settings. The cloud is always available, and needs minimal training and pre-requisite knowledge to interact with. It grants the user a broad network access with minimal drawbacks, as it can be accessed through most mobile devices such as phones, laptops, and tablets. This makes it very appealing to both customers and the vendors.
To be more specific, the cloud offers resource pooling, rapid elasticity, and measured service. Resource pooling means that all the data is stored on one single server, where all users can interact with this at the same time. This is helpful to business because it makes transmitting data to the company or to clients is now incredibly simple and only uses one server.
Rapid elasticity is a term that means the server can rapidly change its size to suit its needs. This means if there is a sudden influx of data being sent and received, the cloud can increase its size and maximum bandwidth to properly suite this bulk of data. This removes a businesses need to manually modify a server’s bandwidth and capacity, as everything is automatic and requires minimal monitoring and maintenance.
With the introduction of cloud computing, “measured service” is now much easier. Measured service is when you can closely monitor exactly how much data, processing power, storage, and active accounts are being

Short Answer Questions

...Beau Smith, Zach Chrzan, Robbie Wacker, Terence Heiser 9/16/12 Business Comm. Short Answer Questions 45. An accounting career would be an interesting career to pursue. Listening can be a vital part of the job. One example would be having a more people oriented style of listening and being able to understand what they say more effectively to be able to help them with their problem. Along with being people oriented, being versatile in our listening style can make us better accountants. An action oriented style can help us accomplish that. Asking questions as an accountant is important. By asking questions we can obtain more information to help accomplish a goal for customers. When being people-oriented, the best way to improve your communication is to not worry so much about the factual information at that point. There will be time to make up all of the information that may be lost at another time. When asking questions, don’t just ask questions to make the person feel involved, rather really listen to the content of what they are saying. Really listen to the answer which they give, and take it for what it is worth. When being task-oriented, the best way to improve listening skills in this area is to remove the emotion from the situation, and focus solely on the information at hand. 46. The three barriers which affect our listening the most are preoccupation, fear of appearing ignorant and physical distractions. A lot of times in our busy lives, we can become...

Can these problems be mitigated (and how)? Ensure you explain your answer. Problems Ray may face include misjudging what the MC is i.e overstating it and offering too much (expensive, but supplier would accept), or understating it and offering too little (company don’t accept). to mitigate this Ray should offer under the MC - if it gets refused, he should re-submit multiple rounds of offers in reasonable business judgement increments. Ray should be weary of what other hardware is required in his purchase - the supplier...

This illness is in itself a bacteria that is already located in the intestines, if the number of c.perfringens that is in your body increases it causes the effects of the bacteria to activate. Everyone is already carrying this bacteria in their body, however, they run the risk of getting “infected” if they do not follow certain rules about cooking and storing their food. Eng 211 Short Story Questions and Answers

...The Loon Study Questions 1. What is the relationship between Vanessa and Piquette, and how does this relationship change? Vanessa's feelings towards Piquette change from discomfort to curiosity to embarrassment. 2. How are the Metis represented in the story? “if that half-breed youngster comes along to Diamond Lake, I'm not going” (188) Vanessa's images of Natives are drawn solely from literature, and these representations are only superficially positive. When Piquette doesn't reveal nature's secrets, Vanessa concludes “as an Indian, Piquette was a dead loss” (191) 3. What do the loons symbolize? “My dad says we should listen and try to remember how they sound, because in a few more years when more cottages are built at Diamond Lake and more people come in, the loons will go away” (190-91). Years later when Vanessa visits the lake, after the deaths of her father and Piquette, she realizes that the loons are no longer there. The loons become associated with death and loss, and while symbolic of Piquette, they are also an allegory of Canadian history. 4. What does Vanessa mean by the last sentence of the story? When Vanessa encounters Piquette as a young woman, she recognizes in Piquette what she hears in the loons' cries—“self-pity” (192) and “terrifying hope” (193); when Vanessa learns of Piquette's death soon after, she responds with silence. Vanessa's personal loss—of her father and of Piquette—is connected through the symbol of the loons...

The Higgs Boson’s Conflict with Theology

...The Higgs Boson’s conflict with Theology Klynton Rhodes Georgia Southern University The Higgs Boson’s conflict with Theology A scientific discovery is also a religious discovery. There is no conflict between science and religion. Our knowledge of God is made larger with every discovery we make about the world. –Joseph H. Taylor Jr, God Evidence According to Steve Paulson (2010) “The debate over science and religion is like catnip for anyone wanting to spout off about the improbability of God or the arrogance of scientists”(p.1). Since I was young I remember being told that no matter what I learned in science class about evolution, or the big bang, that God was real. According to Dr. Agustin Fuentes of Psychology today “There are some factions of Christianity whose leaders (and thus their followers) express adamant opposition to “evolution” and this is often used as the key example in the science vs. religion conflict.” Examples of controversial scientific discoveries such as cloning, and genetic manipulation, are considered to be inhumane. In my opinion God created science for humans to better understand the world he created, and according to Steve Paulson (2010) Albert Einstein shared my belief demonstrated when he stated “ Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind” (p.3). It is well known that some people believe that the universe was started with the big bang as well as the subsequent reactions that followed. This brings into the discussion...

...Timed Test, Short Answer Test, Analysis Test, and Personal Essay Test. Each of them has different range of difficulty, based on how long the time needed to finish them. Let us take a look of these brief explanations about the four types of assessment, before we decide which one is the easiest to do. TIMED TEST Timed test is the type of assessment in which you will be given limited time to answer the questions. The test does not care how many questions you get wrong, but rather how many you get right. Many students don’t do well on timed tests because they get stuck on a question or spend too much time on each question, as they want to make sure it is correct, but they end up running out of time. Timed Test will actually help students to manage their time well. Let’s say, students are given 100 questions in 100 minutes. It means they have one minute at the most to answer each question. They have to make sure they don’t exceed one minute time otherwise they will get less time to finish the next questions. In this kind of test, students are expected to work fast, and not doing too much thinking on the same question. The goal is to finish the test no matter what. SHORT ANSWER TEST Short answer test are open-ended questions that require students to create an answer. They are commonly used in examinations to assess the basic knowledge and understanding (low cognitive levels) of a topic before more in-depth assessment questions are asked on the topic. Short answer tests do not...
