Sia is an Australian singer/songwriter. Her full name is Sia Kate Isobelle Furler. She was born on 18 December 1975 in Adelaide, South Australia. Sia first started her career around 1990’s in a Jazz band called Crisp. In 1997, the band disbanded and Sia went to another band called Zero 7. Their first debut album ‘Simples Things’ was on the UK charts for 56 weeks at number 28. She then moved onto pursuing her own career by having five solo records during 2000’s. Her songs weren’t really a success. However, Sia’s big start began when people heard the songs she helped produce for other famous artists. Such as Perfume by Britney Spears, Pretty Hurts by Beyoncé, and Diamonds by Rihanna.
In 2011, Sia wrote a song called Titanium and sent it to David Guetta. The original singer of this song was supposed to be Mary J. Blige, but David liked Sia’s vocals and decided to let her be the vocals for the song. David released it without telling Sia and she was embarrassed by it as she is a very shy person. The song became a hit, that it was played on the radio and was nominated for many awards. Some of the awards are Dance Work of the Year, Most Performed Songs, Top Dance song, Top EDM song, Dance award, Award-Winning songs, and many more.
