The Peale Family by Charles Willson Peale demonstrates many attributes of American Enlightenment/Romanticism era paintings. The painting depicts the painter's family and maid around a table. Many if the children in the painting became famous painters themselves including: Rembrandt Peale, Raphaelle Peale, and Titian Peale.
