I am reaching out on the behalf of the mother of Zamira Brooks (UC-Berkeley 3rd grade). During one of my check-ins with the mother, she told me that she was in the hospital. The mother's hospital admission is also the reason we haven't seen Zamira at school this week. Her mother went on to tell me that she was diagnosed with a serious heart condition. She went on to say that Zamira has not been taking it too well. To support her daughter, her mom enrolled her in counseling from Memphis Mental Health Services.
To further support her, I would like to know what options are available from our Social Work department. With Ms. Bloomfield being out, I thought you could point me in the right direction. Whenever you have a moment,
