I believe the reasons behind the decision to build the airport were legitimate as it was unable to cope with the massively increasing volume of passengers traveling to and from the airport. Flight delays and heavy financial losses were incurred by not only by the airlines but the airport itself due to the continuous delays and other missed opportunities. Future analysis carried out at the airport had predicted even further growth for the airport within the coming years. Performing a detailed strategic analysis of the financial, physical and human strategic capabilities should have shown the major threats in these areas before the project commenced.
While reviewing the case I believe the decision to build a new airport was necessary however the actions taken have showed that the decision was made without appropriate strategic analysis and where problems where shown in the analysis, they were either overlooked and left without the appropriate actions or resolutions taken.

Feasibility Study showed that up to 50% of passengers traveling through Denver be transit passengers meaning a huge footfall through the airport and increasing flight numbers.
