Kelby Johnson is a sixteen-year-old, about five feet six inches tall Caucasian female who identify herself as a lesbian. Lesbian is defined as a woman whose enduring physical, romantic, agender/or emotional attraction is to other women (GLAAD). Growing up, Kelby struggled with her identity as Kelly and decided in her sophomore year of high school to “come out” as Kelby Johnson. Kelby no different from Kelly is still a great athlete and has an outgoing personality but to the residents of Tuttle Oklahoma, Kelby is an outsider.
