The Osage Firebird was written by Betty Marie Tallchief. It was about a shy girl who thru dancing brought her out her shell. She grew up listening to her grandma stories and wanted to fulfill that story. At the end she becomes a huge ballet dancer.

In the 1st paragraph it talks about her childhood. She was born in 1925 in Oklahoma. She saw herself as a typical Indian girl. She wanted to find a way to give herself another title. Started by the age of 4 she set out to be a ballerina to become something else than a typical Indian girl.

In the 2nd paragraph of Osage Firebird it talks about how she became to be a star. She started performing at rodeos and fairs. Since she was talented she was able to be taught anything. As she went into
