Having been a professional football player I was always baffled by how we struggled to get everyone aligned and working towards the same goal. At Chili’s you are believers in the Egg Model which starts with leaders, how do you use this information to insure you are creating the right environment for your team?

2. Maybe if my football team had done a MEE survey we would have competed for a super bowl trophy…my guess is you really believe it starts with an engaged team and that is why you are winning on every measurable result?

1. While MEE is a great leading indicator, turnover is a great lagging indicator of team member engagement…what is your current turnover?

2. How would you best articulate, how having low turnover has led to you delivering on the 4 key results?

• Sales….having the same consistent team members helped deliver team selling.

• Team Selling created a great experience by allowing our TM to win by increasing their income by increasing their sales.

• WE are big on creating a sense of belonging at Chilis Los Lunas. Since we have had a core group with us for a good amount of time, we involve them with initiatives, planning, gathering feedback and giving them a voice. We make sure our relationship is collaborative in order to deliver on the three wins.
