Techniques for Building Relationships There are many techniques that can be used to building relationships with customers. Three techniques that can help in building that rapport are to remember the small things, communicate with the customer and smile. Small things matter to the customers, whether it be offering them coffee, remembering their names or just going that extra little bit to help them out when they come to you. By doing the small things for the customers they feel more appreciated by you and your company and they also feel more relaxed while conducting their business. Communication is key in all successful relationships! Make sure that you learn how to listen to what the customer really wants and then how to respond to that. Just giving a customer a spiel that you have done a thousand times just isn’t going to work all the time, by taking the time to communicate effectively with the customer you have the opportunity to really find out what that customer needs or wants. Smile, this is the most simple thing for any customer service person to do. Just smiling at the customer makes them feel better and more connected to a conversation. The company I work for offers customers free coffee and cookies each day. We have a set up in the lobby where fresh coffee is brewed and a place for the cookies that we bake fresh in the back each day. We also greet each customer as they walk in the door and smile as we are doing it. The customers feel appreciated and welcome when they come in, so much so that they will drive past other branches to come to ours because of this. “Customer loyalty doesn’t come cheap but it is worth the cost.”

In return, this opens up several doors in different aspects of living a satisfying lifestyle triumphantly, giving treatment an opportunity to become a win-win situation. Personal Viewpoint ...

...Basic Techniques in Marriage and Family Counseling and Therapy. ERIC Digest. The area of marriage and family counseling/therapy has exploded over the past decade. Counselors at all levels are expected to work effectively with couples and families experiencing a wide variety of issues and problems. Structural, strategic, and transgenerational family therapists at times may seem to be operating alike, using similar interventions with a family. Differences might become clear when the therapist explains a certain technique or intervention. Most of today's practicing family therapists go far beyond the limited number of techniques usually associated with a single theory. TECHNIQUES The following select techniques have been used in working with couples and families to stimulate change or gain greater information about the family system. Each technique should be judiciously applied and viewed as not a cure, but rather a method to help mobilize the family. The when, where, and how of each intervention always rests with the therapist's professional judgment and personal skills. THE GENOGRAM The genogram, a technique often used early in family therapy, provides a graphic picture of the family history. The genogram reveals the family's basic structure and demographics. (McGoldrick & Gerson, 1985). Through symbols, it offers a picture of three generations. Names, dates of marriage, divorce, death, and other relevant facts are included in the genogram. It provides an enormous amount...

A Brief Overview Online Analytical Processing (OLAP): OLAP is the dynamic synthesis, analysis, and consolidation of large volumns of multi-dimensional data. Multi-dimensional OLAP support common analyst operations, such as: ▪ Considation – aggregate of data, e.g. roll-ups from branches to regions. ▪ Drill-down – showing details, just the reverse of considation. ▪ Slicing and dicing – pivoting. Looking at the data from different viewpoints. E.g. X, Y, Z axis as salesman, Nth quarter and products, or region, Nth quarter and products. A Brief Overview Data Mining: Construct an advanced architecture for storing information in a multi-dimension data warehouse is just the first step to evolve from traditional DBMS. To realize the value of a data warehouse, it is necessary to extract the knowledge hidden within the warehouse. Unlike OLAP, which reveal patterns that are known in advance, Data Mining uses the machine learning techniques to find hidden relationships within data. So Data Mining is to ▪ Analyse data, ▪ Use software techniques ▪ Finding hidden and unexpected patterns and relationships in sets of data. Examples of Data Mining Applications: ▪ Identifying potential credit card customer groups ▪ Identifying buying patterns of customers. ▪ Predicting trends of market...
