The Finny Family In Sharon Creech's Walk Two Moons

In the book Walk Two Moons, by Sharon Creech, Phoebe Winterbottom, a proper and unique kid, judges the way the Finney family acts based on the way that she was raised. Phoebe sees the Finney family as reckless,chaotic,and unhealthy because she was raised in a very proper and formal household. For example, on page 43 Phoebe says,”Mary Lou’s family is not nearly as civilized as ours,”(Creech,P.43). When she says this to Sal, she is explaining how unorganized the Finney’s are, in her opinion. Also, on page 46, after Phoebe is leaving the Finney’s, she asks Sal, “Wasn’t it, well, loud, there?”(Creech,P.46).
