As Egypt ordeal was going on, it pressured Hezekiah to rebel against the Assyrians. So the prophet warned the king to avoid any involvement, which was the advice that Hezekiah paid attention to. However, Hezekiah wasn’t so wise with this advice and provoked Sennacherib’s invasion.
